Natural hair is a lot of work, so it's funny when men say "Just go natural" like it's not an entire process. You're learning your hair type, styles for your length and texture, products that work best (which change from season to season), etc. Having a twist out be popping at 9am and dry and crunchy looking by 12:30pm. Flat ironing your hair for a straight style only for one half of your head to revert back to curls after you wash it. Now you have a whole section of straight hair in between some random curls, shyt looking raggedy.

Most women have natural hair under the weave, it's just that weave is easier and more versatile. Women like to change their style up regularly so when a man comes and brags about how easy it is to maintain his hair, it's like STFU, men don't care about wearing the same hairstyle for 20 years, most women aren't like that.

nikkas gotta deal with the same, no?

But I see ya point. Y’all don’t want the same style for months/years

Whats worse is that they have to buy it at these racist asian beauty stores and own pretty much no share of the overall weave market. And this stuff is not cheap.. black women spend 9 times more than other races on hair and beauty products without owning hardly any of it. Its a losing argument though cause black women have excuse in the book. Nobody wants to admit they hate the texture of their hair. But it is what it is and the excuses are silly. Your natural hair is only difficult to manage when you don't know how to manage it.

Not true, not everyone wants to braid or twist their hair up every night, nor do we want to have the risk of a braid out or twistout looking like a half crimped fro by the middle of the day:martin:
As other women in the topic have said, we want to be able to change our hair whenever we want and with natural hair yu are limited (Unless your hair is very long but even then) and run the risk of damaging ur hair when trying out certain styles (Relaxers, flat ironing, curling iron .etc):beli:
What about guys who dye their tips blond/orange .etc?? are they self hating too?:skip:
