Hip Hop was the 1st time in America where stereotypes of Blackfolks were self inflicted

Guess OP never heard of black exploitation movies.

Guess u didnt even read the fukking thread.
:snoop:

We already spoke on this....many of those Blaxploitation films were made and distributed by whites. You cant compare movies made by whites to a genre created by Blacks for Blacks.

This man right here gave Ghostface Killah most of the skits on his Ironman album. He's the one behind one of the most celebrated Blaxploitation films

Yes we can go into Gordon Parks and Melvin Van Peeples but we already went thru all that and I'm not repeating myself.

You reaching.

I already brought up melvin van peeples because u are predictable and we already know his story u dont have to repeat it...Yet u went ahead and did for no reason. Thats why I posted a picture of a white man who had a mark on Blaxploitation.

But lets talk about Sweetback since u wanna pull his cok out and jerk it. I saw Sweetback caught up in being a homeless kid raised in a whorehouse but I didnt see Sweetback throw no baby out the window like Live Squad did in the the video Murderer. Goldie pimped hoes out of neccessity and paid the price with the loss of his mom but Dr Dre did a song called how to Kill A Hooker. Priest sold coke yet tried to make a way out for himself to do better but Raekwon shot someones mom in the head over drug beef. Coffy wanted revenge against her sister who overdosed yet Mobb Dep said hit your crew off so they can slang krills. Scarface said No women no kids but 2Pac said "My 4 4 make sure all your kids dont grow"

You really wanna compare Blaxploitation movies to Hip Hop?:usure:

Blaxploitation films have profoundly impacted contemporary hip-hop culture. Several prominent hip hop artists, including Snoop Dogg, Big Daddy Kane, Ice-T, Slick Rick, and Too Short, have adopted the no-nonsense pimp persona popularized first by ex-pimp Iceberg Slim's 1967 book Pimp and subsequently by films such as Super Fly, The Mack, and Willie Dynamite. In fact, many hip-hop artists have paid tribute to pimping within their lyrics (most notably 50 Cent's hit single "P.I.M.P.") and have openly embraced the pimp image in their music videos, which include entourages of scantily-clad women, flashy jewelry (known as "bling-bling"), and luxury Cadillacs (referred to as "pimpmobiles"). The most famous scene of The Mack, featuring the "Annual Players Ball", has become an often-referenced pop culture icon—most recently by Chappelle's Show, where it was parodied as the "Playa Hater's Ball". The genre's overseas influence extends to artists such as Norway's hip-hop duo Madcon.[8]

OK so lets keep going since u wanna compare Blaxploitation to Hip Hop. Lets compare "charaters" and the people who play them..I'll post the rappers;

Known rappers that are Bloods: The Game, Gucci Mane, YG, Lil Wayne (Though it is not really confirmed), Birdman, Suge Knight (Not a rapper but a prominent figure in Hip-Hop who I guess should be acknowledged), DJ Quik, Waka Flocka Flame, B-Real of Cypress Hill, HI C, Mack 10, Sinister, Top Dogg, Jay Rock & Kendrick Lamar (BY ASSOCIATION).

Known rappers that are Crips: Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Eazy-E, Warren G, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, MC Ren, MC Eiht, Ice Cube (BY ASSOCIATION), Ice-T, Coolio, B.G. Knocc Out, Tone Loc, WC, South Central Cartel, Dresta, Da Lench Mob, Bad Azz, CJ Mac, Afroman (Surprisingly), Kokane, Young Jeezy, Schoolboy Q & Xzibit.

now i need for u to post all the actors who were gang affiliated who played in these 70's Blaxploitation films....

....I'll wait. And while I'm waiting I just proved my point because there was never a knowning of gang affiliation with Blaxploitation actors like it is with rappers...thats why u cant compare the 2. Gang affiliation is not an act. Blackula is not real, gangs are real. Therefore the stereotype has more weight when enforced as being reality.

no matter if they were actually gang affiliated, the point was that it glorified/promoted/shed mass attention on all those negative stereotypes:hhh:

and now you're

...when you originally stated, albeit incorrectly that HIpHop was the first to do these....

But Hip Hop was in our control and look at where we took in since the emergence of gangster/drug dealer rap in the early 90's.

- Black men bragging about killing other Blackmen
- Black Men bragging about selling drugs in their community
- Black men refering to Blackwomen as bytches and hoes
- Blackwomen accepting being called a bytch and a ho(Prior to Hip Hop the only time a woman accepted this on an open level was if she was in the nightlife of the underworld)
- Blackmen bragging about sleeping with other Blackmens wives
- Blackmen making light of hurting/killing children
- Blackmen boasting of their financial status to an audience of people who aren't rich as if to shove it in their faces like snobs.
Blackmen condoning illegal activity and boasting after the illegal activity is complete
- Grown Blackmen dressing like teens and acting like teens
- Blackmen proudly speaking ignorant.

black actors/musicians have been talking about or acting out these things on records, books/novels and film since there has been a "media" for it and noone put a gun to their head to make them do it and it was all waay before HipHop came along:sas2:

You and I will keep going in circles about this and keep disagreeing and real talk. I was gonna give u props for all those articles u posted. They were very informative. But u lost points when you avoided flaws in your argument concerning Bert Willaims that I pointed out. You made some excellent points but avoiding that flaw made u lose your zealousness and then u had the nerve to say I'm slitering from anything when I answered everything U brought head on while watching u avoid me pointing out your flaws.
U also lost points for co signing a troll who insulted my racial foundation for absolutly no reason and mocked my offspring.

Stop flip flopping. :stopitslime:

You posted video clips of a blaxploitation movie made by a white director....Dont flip flop to talk about the autobio. The autobio has nothing to do with Blaxploitation. The movie by the white director does.

Eh, I know you want to connect hip hop to it and I am not saying you are wrong or anything but it wasn't the 1st time. What was Blaxplotation films in the 70s? Blackula had a black director and everything.

Often gangsta rappers cite heavy influence from those movies. Snoop is a prime example, arguably the most successful gangsta rapper of all time. Certainly has had the longest and biggest career. Not only did it influence his music, he has acted out the influence in multiple movies as Huggy Bear, Soul Plane, and Bones as well.

I am certainly not the best person to talk about this for many reasons but thought it was an interesting debate/is an interesting ongoing debate.
