timeline seems completely fukked up

they decided the 2:36 call was the call simply because of its time and length even though Jay and Steph both point to different times for the "pick me up" call

the part that gets me is why would Jay put himself in the crime and actually helping bury the body if it didn't happen that way? why not mitigate his involvement?

After listening to episode 9, I'm almost certain now that Adnan never did this. Jay is a snitch nikka, his shyt doesn't add up. Although having said that, in this week Adnan must've said "well I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my own actions" or something to that effect. And when Sarah asked him about it, his explanation had a nikka like

I am not entirely sure if they are purposefully creating seeds of doubt in our minds about Jay and almost making us feel empathy for Adnan but either way, it's working.

And on a completely unrelated note, Sarah Koenig has such a sexy voice

I feel where you're coming from on this one but I think Adnans comments here relate to his becoming a more devout Muslim during his time in prison. I think in retrospect, Adnan feels like if he wasn't out smoking weed, and chasing girls (things he shouldn't have been doing based on his religion) he would have never ended up in this mess to begin with.

Right? I wonder how it's gonna end. I had to search for a Serial thread on The Coli to see if the brehs were up on it. I listened to all 9 in the past 3-4 days.

I wanna know more about Mr. S and Don.

Man...if Adnan did it then he's a very convincing liar/sociopath. I know it sounds stupid and it's not logical, but hearing him talk---it just doesn't SOUND like he's guilty. It really burned on episode 9 when they talk about how judge's order juries not to take into account whether or not a defendant takes the stand, but then when they played the juror's opinion and it's like...OF COURSE the jury can't help but take that into account. Adnan's attorney dropped the ball on so much stuff.

I don't know though, I'm still not out of the woods on whether or not Adnan paid Jay or someone else to do it. If you keep telling yourself a lie, you can start to believe it. If Adnan didn't personally do the killing, over all these years it's reasonable that he could've really engrained it in his head that HE didn't do it, which might be why he sounds so convincing?

Hearing all the cats on the innocence project saying there's not nearly enough evidence to convict confirms what I think about the justice system, and regardless, there's no way that Adnan should've gotten convicted.

But who did it, friends? I think we all know Jay is a liar and a snake, and his story keeps on changing. I sort of think it was Jay or a 3rd party. I'm in this thread now. Wasting time on the sub-reddit now.
