Most blacks that I know in the military now are kind of c00nish, they don't care how many ******s they're called they were just happy to serve with their "brothers"

I was in the infantry which is like 99% white and this never happened to me or anyone black I knew. You might hear some racial jokes but calling someone a n*gger isn't a common thing.

Why are these dudes risking their lives to protect the shady interests of a country that hates them?

I joined for free college. And just in case if I want to get in politics later, it looks good on my resume

Room and board, secure paycheck, GI bill, and paid travel.

Yeah I did. I got to see a lot of the world, the good and the bad, which helped me put things into persepctive. I got to meet people from all walks of life and I think that helped me deal with people a little better. My three deployments helped me deal with fear. I would like to believe that most of my Navy experiences helped me build character. I'll let others who know me be the judge of that tho.
