Texas Elite Pellet Grill 34

Was supposed to max at 450, which is the setting you cook steaks at preferably. It wouldn’t get close, then when you’d lift the lid to put the steaks on it’d get way lower, and legit take an hour to cook the steak to medium. Absolute joke. I called em and they said some shyt about maybe needing a new part. It was brand fukking new :dead: I read up about temp problems on the pellet grills and it seemed an issue on some of em. I just took it back going back to a Kamodo style grill again

Which kamado are you thinking about going with? I have a Kamado Joe 2 and its the best grill that I’ve ever owned.

Everywhere...You never there.
Hot dogs with a lil char :ohlawd:

It's why I hate steamed hot dogs...them jawns better be grilled,sauteed:ufdup:

All beef with a casing ... some char ... and a slight snap when you bite into it ... :banderas:

It’s some types/brands of hotdogs that you just have to grill or fry because otherwise it’ll taste like mush ...

All my Carolinas fam know... those pink hotdogs (Brightleaf, etc) that leave the water a reddish/ pinkish color if boiled , taste like mush if you don’t put some direct heat on them :hhh:

I just took back my traeger elite 34 was extremely underwhelmed. It didn’t get near the high temps it was supposed to, even sitting for a ridiculous 45-60 minutes heating up. Couldn’t cook a steak or piece of fish for shyt because it would max out at like 325 degrees. Who’s trying to slow cook a steak or piece of salmon for an hour for a quick meal :heh:

That’s disheartening man... really want one of them . But I feel what you’re saying .. . If it’s billed as being a smoker AND grill, then it should do both ... VERY WELL for the price point .

@Absolut

I know your pissed, they cost a lot but you should have a lifetime warranty. That one was leaking.

I don't know if traeger does individual tests on theirs...

Some grills leak. Like the seals and sides and shyt if they aren't put together right.

Or the Weber summit

It'll probably be the summit because I don't grill for enough people that often to justify the space.

didnt marinate em, took em out the package, rinsed em off with water, then trimmed em up, then doused em with apple cider vinegar, then put the dry rub on, then threw em in the smoker, kept them moist with some apple juice spray every 20 mins or so, easy, hardest part is the wait time lol.
