I know yall will blame Spo like always but this roster full of pretty good to average players did exactly what I expected.
This team just doesnt have any great players. Until they decide to do a true rebuild we'll be stuck with win totals in the lower to mid 40's and first round exits.

It’s fine if pat stays, but Spo has to go. The personnel isn’t super talented, but they consistently find ways to lose games. Spo is he common denominator since this has been a problem his whole tenure. We aren’t going anywhere as long as he’s here. That’s the biggest hurdle to future success. He isn’t any better in year ten than he was in year one.

This is why I don’t blame Whiteside for a bad effort. Even when he’d play well, Spo would give him the hook and then blame him for a loss in the post game. He cost us a championship by sticking with lineups that don’t work even when it’s painfully obvious. We had a nationally broadcasted game in early 2015 against Dallas where Battier was doing commentary and it was one of those losses where Hassan came in and the whole team picked up and went on a run so naturally Spo pulled him and put Cole back in. Dallas ended up going on maybe a 30-2 run to take control and win the game. The announcers were openly asking what Spo was doing with the rotations and Shane said something very telling. Something along the lines of “he sticks with set lineups that he picks for certain times of the game, no matter what the results. He doesn’t change that.”. It’s stuck with me ever since. He basically coaches on auto pilot. I’m still amazed that we won multiple rings with him as the coach. He might be the worst championship coach in North American sports history even over the triumvirate of John harbaugh, Jim Caldwell, and dean pees for the 2012 ravens. Even his one good regular season (2012-13) he consistently gave minutes to a back court of Allen and Cole even when all he numbers showed the offense would go into the tank with them on the floor together.
