But for what? That was my problem with paying these jokers, and in fact signing them last year period. We're not getting value for Dion at 50 mil. We can't possibly sacrifice more of our future just to unload bad contracts. At some point we have to be prepared to bottom out, and Riley won't do it.
They aren't going to be able to do anything about Waiters or TJ right now, especially since Rich can't be added to any deals until the summer..the timing of that extension was a big mistake. I'm not crazy about at least 2 of those 3 guys but I prefer to look at what moves we might be able to make as opposed to what we won't be able to do. The decision is going to be Whiteside or Dragic, possibly both, and go from there. I've floated the idea of Mudiay and a pick for Dragic. Olynyk isn't a great fit to this point but he's young with a valuable skillset, Ellington as an expiring as well, those are your throw ins, along with McGruder. For his age alone Winslow is untouchable unless acquiring a star, he's got some strong benefactors in the front office but I don't know if its going to grant him immunity.
