We back on the "Spo can't coach" after singing praises 7-9 months ago :martin:

Dude isn't elite but he isn't the problem. Sure he has his issues(hesitant to playing young guys, questionable offense), but the main reason for our mediocrity is the talent level. In addition to our lack of true talent, we're not hitting 3's(which was a big part of that 30-11 run), so it's hard to be good when you lack talent and can't shoot.
We’re only trashing his offense :whoa:. These guys don’t get any easy looks it seems. The games I’ve seen also have had next to no off ball movement.

We had more "talent" on the floor than NY tonight and got ran out the gym. Quit with the excuses and with the putting words in my mouth

I'm one of the last people to :cape: for Spo, I was pissed at how he did Bazz and Ennis, so I'm not giving passes. Sure you can make a case that we had more "talent" than the Knicks, but the Heat don't have any true star talent.

It's hard to win night in and night out without star talent, only a handful of teams in the past 10 years have done well(regular season wise) without star players(07-08 Pistons, '11 Nuggets; '14 Spurs '15 Hawks). Lack of star talent and poor shooting is a recipe for being bad or mediocre.

The problem with our team is that with no real "stars" to fill the gaps, any minor injury is exacerbated like 20.

We're a contending team when everyone is healthy but one injury throws everything out of wack, bench or starter. Our depth is fake because we rely entirely on execution. One cog is out of place, the entire team crumbles.

This team is doing exactly what ok teams to. We playing .500 ball with a bunch of decent players that are ok to good. We're the team you put around a star because when these guys are lacking, the star carries that weight,

Yeah. basketball being 5 on 5 means that individual players can have a much more profound impact on the game.

One elite player that can't be stopped is more handy to have over a bunch of ok players.

Well I think we can say this one is over. Yeah I know HW is out, but this team is just not very good. They need to be sellers by the deadline. This team’s 30-11 run last year was the anomaly and Riley needs to pick up on that before it’s too late to make long term moves for this team.
We already made long term move, we paid everybody then brought in a healthy McBob from Boston
