I gotta agree with you for once. I'm shocked this is so critically hailed and in most top 10 listsI think the guys who made this have talent but they definitely need to channel it better because the narrative fell apart way too often. For every good scene there's one that does absolutely nothing and it just gets tedious after a while.
It certainly doesn't help that every character just kinda leaves the movie without closure and that's it. Like what's the point of taking the black girl with them and keeping her character around for another 30 minutes only to write her out of the plot like they do?
The movie is still a pretty wild ride and I love the atmosphere of it but in the end it falters too much to become a cult classic.
I think it was the script.all this and he never even finds his brother? Plus it really ground to a halt once he ended up at the house of the lady from the bus. Had tons of energy and momentum before that.
