I mostly agree with Kyle outside of the showing up on Sunday morning shows screaming about everything the Republicans do. The literal last election showed us that talking about whats happening is not enough. The base who are going to vote Dem, sure, a lot of them key in on it. Independents didn't give a fukk. Those without a college degree REALLY didn't give a fukk. Carville's big-picture miss is that he said "Make them miss us."

No fool, there are things to be done, but the smartest thing is to retreat a bit, focus the message, and stop being reactionary. They have to be on the attack but on a broad scale: billionaires. Telling people that Trumps evil ass is evil lead to "Orange man bad" bullshyt. The same way to media doesn't care that Trump goofs constantly, people have gotten used to Trump doing awful shyt and tune it out especially with this second win. The Dems should all be touring like Bernie and focusing on anger. fukk trying to explain that Democracy is at stake cause people think Dems are elitist for using simple words to explain what something is. Key in on the anger and point people in the direction of who is causing their misery. Also, stop chasing fukking billionaire dollars, Jeffries.

This is an oversimplification that ignores the massive structural differences between our political systems. Mexico's multi-party system allows smaller parties to gain representation, while we use a winner-takes-all, first-past-the-post system that guarantees third-party failure. They succeeded because Mexico doesn't have an Electoral College and uses proportional representation, which makes it far easier for new parties to compete.

He's suffering from a few of the same missteps that's fueling Carvilles belligerence…. You can't just neg...you have to also roll out ideas that people want... Healthcare, wages, education...etc...you have to actually start offering large scale transformative policy...not incrementalism to pacify.… the whole idea of a “wet paper bag” can beat the republicans now is silly :mjlol:

It doesn't matter who the "leaders" are or who is allegedly not standing up to Trump hard enough. Nobody cares about any of that. The situation for Trump is rapidly deteriorating and dems simply need to wait for the implosion. He's actively making prices go higher while pursuing multiple unpopular positions. Including firing a lot of white people who happen to be republicans (government workers). Republicans can't hold town halls without their white constituents yelling at them. This is not sustainable.

Nobody cares about Elizabeth Warren screaming, nobody cares about Jeffries being a cornball. The incumbent party is 100% under the microscope right now, and failing. I'd expect a 2010 style wipeout next year.
Facts.

Dems need to sharpen up for 2028....but they're going to murder Republicans in the 2026 mid-terms.

One thing everyone forgets is that Republicans NEVER accomplish anything that's good for working class/middle class people when they have power.

Democrats come in and do well but they are terrible at messaging. They put their policies/plans/wins on websites where you have to (gasp!) read up on what's happening. The people that benefit from Dems the most will completely ignore any good they do and fall for every GOP trick. Then the GOP runs shyt into the ground and everyone starts bytching....Dems get back into power.

Problem is that the Dems always jump in to "try" and fix shyt. They get blamed when they are in power.....and as we see from this thread....they get blamed when the GOP is in power.

No....they need to let people enjoy the full embrace of an 100% GOP controlled government. Dems told EVERYONE what was going to happen, screaming Project 2025 from the rooftops. Y'all didn't want to listen. Dems need to stop trying to serve both the wealthy and regular folks...just focus on regular folks.....but Americans are like that fish in Finding Nemo that can't remember anything from 30 seconds ago. For some reason people always have this rosy view of Republicans when they're NOT in power and then have to be reminded of why they voted them out.

Nope...let the GOP hold this "L." Why are we even talking about what Democrats need to do. The GOP is in power...stop giving them a pass. They campaigned on helping regular folk....those folks should be holding them accountable.
