Analytics is a Ponzi scheme Denver Nuggets stay exploiting to steal MVPs for Jokic.
This breh (John Wilkes) explained it (this might be one of the best takes ever when it comes to Nuggets & Jokic):
Now, look at Nuggets starting 5 being top-10 in Net ratings:
It’s a scam.
This is one one of the most idiotic takes I've seen this season, which says a lot with all the bullshyt
@Squirrel from Meteor Man posts.
You nor this cracka
John Wilkes Booth knows how to contextualize plus/minus properly.
To even infer that the Nuggets are structuring their roster and rotations any differently to any other team to make Jokic's plus/minus look better is psychotic. Anybody that seriously believes the Nuggets set out this season purely to make Jokic's plus/minus look better in order to win MVP has a mental disorder.
Jokic is the entire reason why those players are ranked high in plus/minus because anyone that's in the same lineup as him benefits from how impactful he is.
Or do you seem to think that Aaron Gordon and MPJ have superstar-impact to where they're making Jokic look better than he is? Why was Gordon ranked 400th in plus/minus when he was in Orlando? How has he gone from 400th to now where he's among the league leaders? What do you think has changed? Why has Jokic been one of the top-ranked players in plus/minus over the past half a decade no matter what personnel he's had to play with?
Monte Morris was 29th in plus/minus last season, purely because he played alongside Jokic. He's 168th this season and barely in the positive.
To put this further into perspective -
Jokic was missing his #2 and #2 options [Murray and MPJ] last season and yet he still ranked 7th in plus/minus.
Marinate on that.
