GGG's jab is the key to the fight for him. If he gets that landing, and Canelo's in the pocket getting hit over and over with it, I can see cuts being opened
Am I wrong to watch the ggg Vs David fight and see ggg fighting similar to that?

The way he was moving while pumping that jab.

U think ggg won't be able to hit canelo?:gucci:
:dahell:....of course canelo will be hit. my point is that he won't just stand there and take bombs like most of little g's opponents. he can actually move and make little g hit nothing but air most of the time. little g's punch average is 67 per round. but when he fought jacobs it went all the way down to 51. it's funny what a little movement can do to a fighter's punch output. when little g fights canelo, his punch output and accuracy will go down even further.

I think this fight is gonna be canelo's "floyd-coralles" performance. I think he's gonna shock a lot of people by what he does in september. the most dangerous opponents bring out the best in your ability and that's what's gonna happen with canelo. after this, people will realize how special dude really is :wow:....not saying little g won't have his moments, but canelo will just be too great.

But he always just stands there:heh:

That struggle upper body movement that he did once against trout :mjlol:

Stop making him be something he's not.

67 to 51, like that's a big drop off, canelo is not 6"1 and has no where the foot speed of Danny.

Compare a ggg opp more comparable to canelo, like David.

GGG may attempt that, but Canelo's upper body movement is Canelo's counter to that.

GGG's jab vs Canelo's pull counter....whoever is better with their respective skill will win the inside battle.

Lemieux is a mannequin in comparison when it comes to being in the pocket

I feel that the pull counter, which he rarely throws is only affective when the fighter just stands there when he throws the jab. ggg moves while he throws the jab, his foot work is underrated tbh

kell was able to counter his jabs many times in their fight. simply cause of his speed. he was coming back with rights and left hooks. and what kell was hitting him with is love taps compared to what canelo will hit him with. little g will be cut up early in this fight. canelo's sharpness and speed will be the difference.

Watch the David fight and see how he moves when he throws it, it's possible he may get hit once or twice with it but it will be very minimal.

ggg broke Brooks face with a jab, u can't depend/be consistent with a pull counter, the jab will sting too much and u will turn to plan b TBH.

You're putting too much stock into the Lemieux fight. Dude lost to fukkin Rubio, he's limited.

We shouldn't read too much into Canelo's fight vs. Chavez and we should do the same for GGG's fight vs. Lemieux.:yeshrug:

I don't doubt Canelo has it in him too have that type of performance. I respect Canelo and his skills continually get better.

If someone thinks he is better than GGG and will win, fair enough. Just think some comments people post where they make GGG seem border line average are just too biased. People may think the media over rates him, hate the HBO dikkriding, they may not like his style or him personally, but it is plain hating IMO if someone doesn't credit GGG as being a quality fighter who can match up with top competition. We may disagree on who he can beat and how he does it, but GGG is good enough to be competitive with just about anyone.

That said...I agree, I think people rooting for GGG will overlook that likely Canelo's best advantage in the fight will be his speed. It will be interesting to see how Canelo handles power. I don't think we have seen him really hit by a good puncher. Despite being at a speed disadvantage vs. Brook and Jacobs, he was not as accurate or land as cleanly as other opponents, but he still was able to force them to handle his power.

And I agree the Lemieux fight is a bad comparison. Lemieux has fast hands, but not quick feet or body movement. GGG may fight similarly in that he will be cautiously aggressive and work behind the jab, but Canelo fights nothing like Lemieux, GGG likely won't have the at will power punching advantage he had vs. Lemieux.

Canelo also has better foot spend and defensive movements to drop a big hammer on GGG.....
