I think this fight is gonna be canelo's "floyd-coralles" performance. I think he's gonna shock a lot of people by what he does in september. the most dangerous opponents bring out the best in your ability and that's what's gonna happen with canelo. after this, people will realize how special dude really is
....not saying little g won't have his moments, but canelo will just be too great.
I don't doubt Canelo has it in him too have that type of performance. I respect Canelo and his skills continually get better.
If someone thinks he is better than GGG and will win, fair enough. Just think some comments people post where they make GGG seem border line average are just too biased. People may think the media over rates him, hate the HBO dikkriding, they may not like his style or him personally, but it is plain hating IMO if someone doesn't credit GGG as being a quality fighter who can match up with top competition. We may disagree on who he can beat and how he does it, but GGG is good enough to be competitive with just about anyone.
That said...I agree, I think people rooting for GGG will overlook that likely Canelo's best advantage in the fight will be his speed. It will be interesting to see how Canelo handles power. I don't think we have seen him really hit by a good puncher. Despite being at a speed disadvantage vs. Brook and Jacobs, he was not as accurate or land as cleanly as other opponents, but he still was able to force them to handle his power.
And I agree the Lemieux fight is a bad comparison. Lemieux has fast hands, but not quick feet or body movement. GGG may fight similarly in that he will be cautiously aggressive and work behind the jab, but Canelo fights nothing like Lemieux, GGG likely won't have the at will power punching advantage he had vs. Lemieux.
