Canelo definitely has the speed advantage but GGG can offset a good amount of that with a well timed stiff jab (which he has). Canelo isn't a turtle in there either as far as his movement is concerned but he can't do some of the things both Brook and Jacobs did to get out of the way of his attack. Canelo stands his ground and relies on his counter punching which from time to time is gonna work for him. The question mark too is if he can gain GGG's respect with his punching power because if he doesn't...:lupe:. Ill say this, I wouldn't be shocked at all if Canelo had a career night and shocks a lot of us, but I can't help but seeing Canelo getting beaten down late. It's as simple as the good skilled big man beating the good skilled little man. I also don't think we're gonna see a "War" either though.

GGG has a strong, accurate jab and he has pretty good timing for it but it's not that fast just like Golovkin is not that fast in general.
Canelo has very good timing himself and he has a pretty good defense + a good upper body movement. I don't think at all that Golovkin will have an easy job with landing his jab on Canelo.

kell was able to counter his jabs many times in their fight. simply cause of his speed. he was coming back with rights and left hooks. and what kell was hitting him with is love taps compared to what canelo will hit him with. little g will be cut up early in this fight. canelo's sharpness and speed will be the difference.

That right hand counter gon eat his ass up

That...and that slip and left hook counter to the body that he throws...is what i think is gonna have GGG reticent about hanging his jab out there too much.

The more i think about it...GGG might be tailor made for Canelo.

The only thing i wonder about is how he takes GGG'S power IF...IF he even gets hit cleanly.

Being that he's never been really been tagged cleanly by a puncher...a NON-Shot puncher that is.

That is why I never thought GGG would run through Canelo. In many ways GGG is tailor made for Canelo's offense.

GGG isn't without skills and has tools that Canelo himself has to prove he can deal with.

Despite the media hype it is a 50/50 fight.

Still #GGGoodBoys for me. :blessed:

well the odds opened with little g only around -150 and canelo at +140. so it's essentially considered a toss up. by the time the fight comes I wouldn't be surprised if the odds are dead even.

We can't know chin. When Canelo was even rocked last time, like when he was 20? I don't really count that.
I think Kirkland had him rocked.
I would agree we haven't seen Canelo's chin really tested, but to me I don't think Canelo has been in vs. anyone I would be afraid for his chin.

GGG has been in the ring with Stevens, Lemieux, and Jacobs and despite any of their flaws are all PFP some of the biggest punchers.

I think Kirkland and Angulo could rock. On Golovkin's chin I agree it's strong.
Wondering how frequently Canelo gonna attack his body though. He can/likes to do that.

I would agree on chin, but think that footspeed/footwork moving forward is GGG, moving backwards is Canelo.
I'm sure ggg foot speed is superior, I've been watching there fights heavy.. ggg is pretty quick on his feet, he was bouncing around on his toes on the David fight the first couple of rounds.. Canelo basically stands there and trues to counter u, he fights like he wants to be Floyd, but it works for him so it's whatever.

Triple G is tailor made for Canelo. He's slow, comes forward, doesn't retreat. Canelo has fast hands, is quicker in general, and is a natural counter puncher. Triple G is going to be walking into; jabs, right hands, check hooks up top, and hooks to the body. I think if Canelo can pull counter uppercut G clean he may hurt him. That's how Brook hurt him and he doesn't have near the power of Canelo/

Lemieux has very good power maybe p4p, Stevens has good power for the weight class, and Danny has above average power but nothing insane.

Last time, only time, i've seen Canelo rocked was his fight vs the lesser Cotto @David_TheMan posted the gif a few weeks ago.
