He skated off and disappeared after they released him. Before this news came up, a lot of people weren't even sure if dude was still alive because he basically disappeared. I'm sure he would've eventually got gunned up and clapped quick had he stayed in Harlem. L's big brother was looking for his killer too but he got murked back in '02. This does make me wonder how he was the leading suspect in the first place if they didn't have enough evidence against him

Although widely suspected to be L's killer, there wasn't enough evidence, so they let him go. He had other charges at the time too, so prosecutors felt they didn't have to for the murder charge as hard as they should've.
