I don't doubt that he had his connects but ain't no way he could've made a million off those bricks, whoever estimated that is wilding.
I can see why he had to resort to that kind of thing, to my understanding he was never signed to Profile/Rush/whoever, like in terms of record deals Run-D.M.C. was just Run and DMC, they basically did him dirty.

Yes it’s true he never made money from the sales of the music. However Jam Master Jay could have made a lot of money just…djing. There’s no way he couldnt make $10k+ a week just doing gigs from Boston to DC.
He could have easily got a radio spot on power, hot97 or whatever at a time when
Clubs, events, homecomings, weddings, corporate gigs.
On top of that he had 50 and could have ran the mixtape circuit with G-Unit like Whoo Kidd, Clue, Envy, etc.
Call it ignorance or whatever but he sold drugs cause that’s what he wanted to do.

The thing I love about them is that they have alotta "mommas" in their kitchen....that is, Black women who you KNOW be cookin for whole families at home and who bring that lovin sensibility to their cooking in the restaurant's kitchen.
I mean, from the fried chicken to the chopped steak to all their fish dishes to the salmon croquettes....they keep it poppin. And like....you KNOW you can't just eat any ol' body's mac and cheese, and they make it like how your momma or auntie would.
