Do we really need an Obi spinoff though? :patrice:

Vader's story is as much as Obi Wan's story.

Obi was great for his nobility and character and all.

He hated flying.

He did win some battles, but we've seen him get washed too.

It gets back to the problem of Star Wars: getting stretched too thin. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It is not an all-star team like Avengers or Justice League.

Need something along the lines Rogue One. New characters, new battles, and new planets. You had some nostalgia and jedi sprinkled in there, but it wasn't all about the Skywalkers.

The Solo response has made Disney to at least rethink things it appears.

JJ had created something good...:manny: but KK and RJ derailed the entire series... I liked the way it was heading in episode 7... they should have built on the new jedi acadamy and where snoke came from and who he is. the grey jedi and the other stuff it was all there in the lining but...SMH...

Nah B it was going nowhere it was just JJ and his fukking mystery box.

It's not even a Feige thing.... Just have a fukkin plan!!! A Road map or outline!! These mufukkaz are literally just winging it!! :why:

You need both.

You need a Feige and team to come up with a good plan and then execute it, stick to it and add modifications when necessary without going over the deep end.

At the same time people like that don't grown on trees.

These are major corporation, studios. Who only think money. Their plan is to make a lot of money. But they have no understanding of their product, the fans, etc.

WB is the same with DC films.

Fiege's job is to make money too. He'd be out of job if he didn't. However, he and his team understand their product, their fans and provide accordingly. The moves they make have to make sense to them. The end product makes sense to their fans and they enjoy them for the most part.

Real question. Was it really a bad movie or are Star Wars fans just salty to find out they heroes didn't win in the end?
It isn’t just a case of unhappy endings for the OG characters. Obi Wan never made it off the Death Star and Yoda dies in a clay hut on a swamp planet. Leia’s home planet is destroyed and she loses everyone except Han and Luke. These aren’t issues because the old films make sense and know where they’re going. They have a clear plan in mind and are well written. It’s a bad movie solely off all the structural violations it commits. It breaks every established rule of fiction storytelling, not to mention Kennedy sacrificing coherent story telling, characters and character arcs, and film time to push her brand of feminism even as it takes you out of the film. Honestly the best comparison I’ve seen for the movie is the Halo 5 campaign. Go watch the Act man reviews of that on YouTube. Many of his criticisms apply to this film for the same reasons. I’ve got a friend who majored in film in college and is working on a few now, and he nearly left the theater several times.

Yet another fundamental principle that gets ignored: “begin with the end in mind”

The film is nothing more than a collection of ideas with little structure and no long term or even short term future plan. They set out to make this movie without even thinking about where they want to go with the story. The people at www.remakethelastjedi.com have apparently raised $130 million to remake the movie so it at least makes sense.

Kotor won't get touched by mainstream star wars creators. Star wars is a produce made to be enjoyed by the casual film goer. Not sci-fi nerds. Kotor is out there
If they're afraid due to the lack of familar characters they could make Yoda a padawan in one of the sequels. There isn't anything too complicated in KOTR tbh the people generally know what a Jedi and what a Sith is knows the time to see the true origins of them.

The way they would retcon and fukk up the KOTOR story for the SJWs is :mjlol:

Making Revan a woman and focusing on a Carth romance :hhh:

The ‘abused girlfriend’ plotline with Nihilus and Visas in the second one :scust:

Happy endings :francis:

Just leave it alone :mjlol:

Exactly he set up a bunch of bullshyt questions that have been done to death since Star Wars began.

Who is Rey parents ??!!
Who is the evil old white man with a strong connection to the dark side ???

One of the things I actually liked about Last Jedi was they through that bullshyt into the bushes.
