I've never seen the dialogue in a game discussed this muchYeah
Honestly, really sit and think about this….is there ANY scenario where a major AAA game stars a black woman and doesn’t get this kind of negative energy?
Wonder why

Yeah, I don't care how trash the dialogue may end up being, that can't be the sole point to go in on this game.
Another weird double standard rears its ugly head. Imagine if we started judging JRPGs solely on their dialogue?
I like it all so far. The writting is sassy and funny from time to time. The opening scene really sets the tone as to Frey's character and background story. Therefore, her many reactions coming to Athia really makes sense and gives a bit of authencity. Gameplay wise, it holds up to the demo even though you have way less spells to use at first lol. However and compared to the demo, tutorials are very present at every step of the way to make sure you get a hold of every bit of gameplay and mechanics. Graphic wise, very similar to the demo. I feel a bit of improvments were made regarding HDR, less whites and more vivid colours especially in quality / RT mode. Performance mode however looks a bit washed out just like the demo. But it is still beautiful. Sorry, english is not my first langage and im not the talktative type. Id rather let you guys make your own opinions instead of giving hopes or expectations. But overall, im having a blast.
They both are similar in the sense that the graphics look nice (not as nice as other exclusives but still good), character and environment design is pretty good, performance is...acceptable, you control an extremely powerful character with very flashy looking magic, and traverse a beautiful landscape to accomplish an overall objective.
However, even though I enjoyed FFXV (probably because IW aited 13+ years for the damn game), that game had many problems:
Forspoken addresses almost all of those aspects across the board:
- The story sucked.
- the characters seem like their writers were terminated halfway through development
- the lore of the land was almost nonexistent
- exploration was cool at first but quickly became boring and not interesting
- combat sucked (but looked super cool)
- And there was barely any challenge in the game.
- The story is pretty intriguing (even if you hate how Frey is)
- All the characters introduced so far seem pretty well written and interesting at the very least
- There is tons of lore about the land to discover in and out of cutscenes (something FFXV lacked). Items you find, dialogues with people, and story developments all contribute towards this goal.
- World looks much better designed than Eos (the world in FFXV), although it starts out pretty samey and bleak for story reasons.
- Combat is incredible compared to the snooze fest of holding O to attack in FFXV. You must learn to dodge or you'll die quickly, need to manage your stamina, and learn how to chain spells gain a combat grade that increases your XP & Loot.
- There is actually challenge to the game, can't just hold O like in FFXV to auto win battles. The system is far more complex and requires you to learn a lot more of how it works. I recommend starting on Hard and dropping down to Normal if you pick it up, Easy is not fun at all.
These main bosses and combat
I think the 2nd main boss has a cheesy personality but I liked fighting her and the visuals were great. Fun fight!

Man this is honestly sounding like its gone be a feast tbh. FF15 with an actual combat system would be top 3 in the series lol
my body is ready 11 pm mondayYeah, it seems like people that are actually playing the game are enjoying it.
this is why im not letting any of the discourse on this game deter me. i have it preordered and i expect it to be at least better than FF15, which i actually kinda liked.Yeah

a bunch of reviewers are saying they didn't get review codes
