bethesda has no problems making or even salvaging a large scope open-world rpg lol

the only thing forspoken has going for it are graphical showcases that aren't even live. its crazy how a director hasn't been reassigned by now. bigger projects with smaller hurdles have been shaken up for less

There’s literally nothing about this game they’ve shown so far that has anything to do with a RPG.

No towns to explore.
No classes
No skills
No XP upgrades
No customization

As an “RPG fan” what the hell have they shown you so far to get excited?

I hate when people call every thing an RPG.

It's a cinematic action adventure game with lite RPG mechanics.

Just because a game has stats. It doesn't necessarily makes them RPG. There has to be an abundance of player choice in the player build or narrative experience.

They haven’t even shown off stats for this game unless i’m mistaken.

There really is no traditional definition for what rpgs are anymore. Every game has stats, custom characters, characters progression, deep storylines, hp and mp and little numbers that pop up

IMO the only real traditional rpgs I’ve played in recent years is dragon quest xi and persona 5

Anything by square Enix will just be a default rpg to me even nier
