Overall this looks good but the NPC characters need to show more emotion. The lady at 1:47 had zero facial animation :flabbynsick:
NPCs faces look really meh, especially after playing horizon. I think its because this engine was made for the more stylized anime type of animation, and this is all motion capture so they lack the articulation required to be as expressive. Also, the main town looks bland as fukk.

the actual gameplay though :banderas:

It's kinda obvious they invested everything in combat gameplay. Because it looks brilliant and enthralling, whereas everything else... not so much. The NPCs are uninspired, the supporting cast is a cat and a bracelet, the field enemies don't look bad but aren't captivating either.

It's one of those games where if the gameplay/foundation is as fire as it looks and its a sales success, the sequel down the line could end up game of the year worthy, if they then beef up the aforementioned aspects. Kinda like with Horizon to an extent.

TYRONE GA!
Wow, this is the best showing of the game by far.

There’s lots more to this game than i imagined based on the early footage. Traversal and combat looks fun.

I might be in on this :ehh:

same issue i expressed with Scarlet Nexus, feels like they built the entire game around the battle system which was fun as hell but didn't carry the entire game for me. This also has traversal going for it and a little more freedom.

new artwork is cool
