Cutting him? Surely there is a team willing to trade for him.. this is a guy who was on a hall of fame trajectory.

Granted, he does have almost a 20 milli cap hit next season, on the wrong side of 30 and keeps having major injuries. Stiil, I'd love if we could restructure, we gotta be done with massive amounts of dead money.

I believe we'd still be responsible for majority of the cap hit with a trade

I would trade him for a 4th rounder tho so we can use additional draft capital to trade up if needed

There's speculation that he was held out because he's either gonna retire or he and the team didn't want to risk another injury hurting his trade value this offseason. I'd be surprised if he was cut, a team like Cincinnati should 100% be willing to throw us a mid-round pick and take a gamble on him.

Honestly, I'm not even mad mostly disappointed. Plenty of blame to go around for that L but we just looked like a young team out there honestly. To beat Brady you have to play mistake free football pretty much. We left too many points out there. The thing that annoys me most about the game is we got away from who we became only to revert back to who we were. We did not run the ball hard enough. Miles had like what 4 carries by the half? Jalen threw the ball almost 50 times. Why are we trying to get into a shootout with Brady? The goal was to run the ball and keep him on the sidelines. So once again Coaching reverted backwards. Jalen was pressing because he didn't want to make mistakes and ended up doing it anyway. He looked like a young QB making his first playoff start. Bucs were out there playing hard on Defense. Give Todd Bowles his props. Bowles and Arians definitely outcoached Nick and Gannon. We gave up on the run way too early.

With that said, the Defense didn't do as bad as I thought they would. They basically held Brady to 17 points and got 4 sacks on 3rd down. I don't blame them for the other 14 points. That was on Reagor's muffed punt (Should of just let it go out of bounds). That was the worst turnover because we had Brady sacked near the goal line. So that gave us great Field Position. Also that freak INT Jalen had where the Defender tipped it and picked it. The other INT was a good play by the defender as well. Also Nick going on 4th and 10 instead of a Jake FG didn't make sense to me. We have one of the best kickers in the league. I'm glad they still kept fighting and got those 15 points. You don't get blanked in the playoffs. Had we stuck with the running game it would of been much closer. I don't agree with Nick's game plan at all. He was coaching like we were the 2-5 Eagles again. The same version that lost to this Bucs team already. We changed and went back to what didn't work earlier in the season SMH.

As I said previously, it's never easy to beat Brady so give the Bucs their props. They defended home court even with the injuries. Brady can have his day beating this young Eagles Squad. He's still going to hold this L for LII. He also doesn't have a winning record against the NFC EAST overall in the playoffs (Especially in the Bowl). But yes this Bucs team still has the components so they will be a hard out. But they can be beat. Saints showed it. But again we were young. In the end, we overachieved and made the playoffs. All of our losses this year were Playoff Caliber teams with the exception of a few. This was a rebuilding year so I'm cool with the result. Nobody in the press expected us to get this far or win this game, I was hoping it would be more competitive but you can't give Brady short fields. I'm glad Jalen played the full game and will learn from this. Bad news we lost, good news they got their first playoff experience for Jalen, Devonta and other young players and coaches. Our Draft capitol is looking very strong. We need to load up for next year. WR room needs to be revamped. Defense needs some upgrades as well.

Jalen needs to continue to grow in this system for his 2nd year as a starter. Many said we wouldn't make the playoffs and come in last in the Division as a 4-5 win team this season. In the end Jalen did lead a 4 win team to a 9 win team. Helped to lead us to the playoffs in his 1st year starting again in a rebuilding year. He didn't play the best on his first playoff game. It happens. He earned next year period. But they need to build some better skill positions. I thought both Nick and Gannon did OK their first year but they both have more to learn as well. But overall Good season considering we were 4-11-1 and they were coming off Doug's Super Bowl Era years. From last place last year to 2nd place this year and playoffs. If you gonna to lose in the playoffs, lose to the Defending Champs. Jalen numbers were similar to Dak's and Ben's. I think they were better than Kyler's honestly. They all have been in the game longer than Jalen. He was the youngest QB in the Playoffs and the youngest Ever starting a Playoff for the Eagles. I think he's just getting started. First time playoff starters were 1-4 this weekend. Home teams defended Home and sent damn near all the Wild Cards home accept San Fran. We just Won the Superbowl 4 years ago, we can get back with the right team. Also the Boys took the only Home L of the weekend and they had way higher aspirations this year than us. So as far as the NFC East goes, Eagles are looking up. So the Team can be proud of this season and look forward to 2022. Now the goals have shifted since they've gone to the playoffs this quickly in a rebuild.

It's not a coincidence we lost to every playoff team we faced...those teams were stacking 8-9 in the box daring us to throw

Most coaches are gonna exploit 8-9 man boxes through the air...we couldn't all season

We need balance to win a SB, we don't have that, we simply had a dominant o-line that could maul teams running the ball, but it's hard to do against 8 & 9 man fronts...TB played their corners 10-12 yds off Devonta daring us to throw the ball, and we couldn't do it accurately...that's pitch & catch for most vet QBs in the playoffs

Next yr we'll be saying this is really like Jalen's 2nd yr :snoop: :mjlol:

No it will be his 3rd yr, and anything less than a playoff appearance and noticeable improvement should necessitate a finding a long-term solution at the QB position

Before the season started, I said the only way he'll be successful here is if we build a dream team around him...looks like that's what it will take

Really? :hhh:

Russ, at his best, is an elite QB who can elevate a team. Jimmy G is carried by Shanahan.

Jimmy is 3 yrs younger & will cost less

Jimmy can also get a team to the SB

We don't need an elite QB in Siri's system...we need a guy w/ some mobility who can attack all 3 levels

If we draft well & sign 2 or 3 good starters, we win the division with Jimmy G
