We win 11-12 games with him last season
Give him a legit WR2, with this OL and run game...we go crazy the next 5 seasons
There's no denying the talent, and ability to play at a high level (he was the lead MVP candidate two months into last season) but that trade comes with some big question marks :
- can Kyler improve his accuracy in the short/quick game ? He goes through stretches where it's nothing but erratic dirtballs
- can Kyler evolve his game to where he doesn't take so many bad hits behind the LOS trying to improvise ? That's the major reason he's gotten hurt and faded late the last two years, those hits add up at his size
Combine that with having to pay him a new contract in the $40m-$45m range almost immediately and it's a tough call. Not to mention he's still growing up as a leader, he shuts down with terrible body language when things aren't going well. Very high risk/high reward gamble that can go either way.
