We need a CB2 (Sauce Gardner), WR2 (Drake London), DE, FS, C, and OLB in the draft

Our first 6 picks should address those needs

we need a good, vet QB to get us over the top

The Eagles’ Future With Jalen Hurts Has Never Been Murkier

A pretty good breakdown of where Jalen Hurts stands at this point.
Overall a good breakdown but I don't think it's murky at all, Hurts isn't locked into a big money deal or someone they gave up a bunch of capital to move up for and draft.

95% chance 2022 is his (barring a Wilson/Watson move) and if he and the passing game don't take a significant step forward then they'll be looking for a QB via the draft or trade in 2023. It's pretty straight forward and simple.

personally i think RB is our last need, with our o line we can make mid RBs look good. Nobody wanted Howard and he was looking all-pro'ish and boston scott was eating good. Gainwell is showing promise ...Boobie well he's gonna Boobie and stay hurt :francis:

I wanna sure up that LB 2nd tier and have athletic LBs that can cover sideline to sideline. That's our weakness on D right now.

Also want another playmaker on the other side of Smitty

Id be a happy camper with all that

Defensive End is just as big a weakness as LB

Yeah i haven't looked at any of the edge prospects passed the big 2, but if there's a legit guy in the mid 1st we need to get em

Cupboard is pretty bare behind Sweat right now. Barnett should be done, and who knows what Graham is going to be able to produce going forward

This draft is deep as DE-

Travon Walker- Georgia
Cameron Thomas- SDSU- smaller school but a monster
Jermaine Johnson- FSU

those are a few that come to mind. DT is weak this year but damn Fletch looks bored or cooked

kinda like i feel our front guys are better than our Lbs especially when Graham is hurt …we get killed when our lbs have to cover TE and we’re not covering RBs on screens as good …

singleton was great blitzing and pickin up runs but was getting slaughtered in the pass game …

josh sweat and Hargrave along with cox I’m cool with up front maybe get 1 more to rotate in

but our lBs is what’s killin us

LB are bad- I agree with you- TJ Edwards is a good LB but isnt great in coverage
Singleton is a ST/backup LB- we need an an upgrade
Davion cant stay healthy and he barely knows what he is doing

BUT

Sweat is a good DE- not great against the run and is really a rotational guy
Barnett sucks and should be gone
Kerrigan was a bum
I love Graham but he is 93 years old
Hargrave was good for 6 games and has been silent ever since
Fletch is cooked- yet he is on the books for 2 more effin years...my god
I like Milton Williams but he is a rotational DT/DE

The eagles ranked 31 in sacks in 2021- thats almost the worst

I say all this to say- I think you are underestimating how bad the dline is

this team needs ALOT of work

We've had our share of good to great D-Line men as Eagles, even in recent history.

Who was the last good/great linebacker we've had?

You'd have to go back into the 90s if you were name 4 players on that list.

I say linebacker because none of us have seen what a truly great LB can do for our defensive shortcomings in this era.

We won a SB with average LB- but we had a very good Dline....noone can convince me Dline is not as big an issue as LB

That year we had Hicks for part of the year, Bradham and Kendricks. They were all above average I think. It's not a coincidence that was our last really good defensive year.

They really need to stop neglecting that position.

yup our LBs were above average and our DL was prime now our LBs are below average and DL is average … but i rather get 2 stud LBs that can cover TE , blitz and cover the flats if we can get that :wow:

I've never liked the idea of drafting an LB in the 1st but if Nakobe Dean is sitting there at 15/16 :hubie:
