I remember all this and feeling some kind of way about his hating ass. Wakka was a fukk Boi and that and them having him knock up Lulu (one of only two tolerable characters in that game) was just another one of 101 reasons why I didn't fukk with FFX like that. Was really pretty looking game at the time and a shock to hear actual voice overs for 90% of the game, but otherwise, fukk that game.

Japan gonna Japan so it wasn't bothering me. It wasn't until he made the dumb comment about there being no black people in medieval times that made me be like cut it I out, because now you just making weak excuses.

It's sad because FF has 16 games and 2 black characters and that's with 3-4 party members a game.

I'm far from even thinking about abandoning FF series as of now but these kinda comments ain't really a helping that cause.

They could have a wealth of other characters and ionno why medieval times is like the only well theses devs seem that they can dig from for design inspiration and settings. So many other underutilized and/or untapped cultures out there.

FfXIV is a great game though. After a disastrous launch, they righted their wrongs and it's been beloved ever since.
