The Thunder are indeed paying into the revenue-sharing system, rare for such a tiny market, but they’re slated to make nearly $29 million in profit when everything is netted out. That’s the fifth-best projection in the league, trailing only the Lakers ($100.1 million), Bulls ($61 million), Rockets ($40.7 million), and Celtics ($33.1 million). Again: This memo does not capture the complete financial picture for any organization, but between this estimated profit and the general escalating value of all NBA franchises, it’s fair to take these numbers into account when debating the Thunder’s decision to trade James Harden and duck the luxury tax.

All you OKC nuthuggers who defended the Harden trade and said they couldn't afford it, come in here and defend this nonsense. @Gil Scott-Heroin @tremonthustler1 @Loose

So, Taj and Noah are going to be at the meeting when the Bulls meet Melo. Derrick Rose is going to be in Englewood, throwing up his sets. :mjlol::beli:

If this is the case, then Gibson is untradeable.

I'm saying, that'd be a total slap in the face if gibson and :noah: show up at the meeting only for them to give gibson the :camby:

that'd be dead wrong.

The Chicago Bulls remain hopeful that Derrick Rose will participate in USA Basketball’s minicamp at the end of July.

“All indications have been that he would participate," general manager Gar Forman said Monday. "We’ll visit with him in the next couple of days. From a physical standpoint, he’s doing terrific. Like we mentioned, he’s playing 5-on-5. He hasn’t skipped any steps. And there’s been progress the whole way. He looks ready to go."

Rose raised question on his participation in comments to Yahoo Sports on Sunday. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, who also serves as Mike Krzyzewski's assistant coach for USA Basketball, said he remains confident Rose will participate.

"It’s not anything different from what we’ve said all along. If he’s ready to go, he’s going. He wants to go. That’s what he has told me. That’s what he has told USA Basketball," Thibodeau said. "But it’s a step-by-step process. He’s coming along fine. The next step is to participate in summer league (practices). If that goes well, he goes to USA. If that goes well, he’ll play in those games. That’s the way we’re approaching it. From what we’re seeing, he’s making good steady progress. He looks great."

The Bulls also addressed Rose's stance that he won't recruit free agents. The Tribune reported last week Rose has made clear to Carmelo Anthony he would welcome his addition.

"What we’re selling is our team," Thibodeau said. "I’m sure free agents are well aware of our team and the guys that we do have. Our players will be available to talk. We think we have a lot to offer. We have great depth. We have great tradition. And we’re positioned well to go forward."
