Well is it really borrowing when the people make no mention of where the knowledge they used to advance came from? Seems more like claiming to me. People know who Issac Newton is but do they know who that knowledge ascended from? These people are paraded around as if they created everything from scratch.

Issac Newton lived between 25 December 1642 – 20 March 1727. Where do you think Europeans learned Alchemy and ideas of mixing information at that time from?
Isaac Newton alchemy has no real impotance...as many scientists at the time dove into that kind of stuff

Newton created the basics of modern physics with einstein who came up with general and special relativity...

Isaac Newton- "the only way i was able to see further is standing on the shoulders of giants"

the greeks learned from egyptians who learned from greeks information was shared, between them its common its not "stealing"

creativity is usually not original as it is based on, even loosly, or inspired by something before

in terms of land area, The British Empire was the largest ever in land and in population (rivaled only by Chinese empires)

the land area for the British at its height was 33.2 km^2

the umayyad caliphate at its peal was only 5.79km^2

in 1938 at the peak of the British Empire the population was 458 million

the caliphate only had a peak of 62 million
Sorry the moors had more of an impact on this world than the british empire ever did. Most

Universities

they saved Europe from the plague

Translated and kept all ancient documentation

brought hygiene to europe and also fashion

gave birth to the european rensaissance

cuisine

Street lights

hospitals

public bath houses everywhere

advanced agricultural techniques on ur barren european land

paper mills

advanced education for everyone...and high literacy rates.

and much much more

ur here talking about land mass and diminishing their accomplishments

all the British did was bring drugs, guns and death.. Not to mention you bring in land are and population into the equation... not all land is arable.. especially in china.. so what does that matter... All those places kept their culture.

:stopitslime:

are you serious.....

English is the most widely spoken language in the world

America, the most powerful, influential civlization ever, was born from the British

That's not culture. American culture = Black American culture so you need to try harder.

means a whole lot since none of it would've been possible without the moors. Get it?
got it?
good?

stop derailing the thread.

Yes I'm serious

no one has an ownership of knowledge..... all cultures interacted and exchanged ideas

a famous arabic mathematician once said Archimedes, A GREEK mathematician, was the "iman of mathematics"

all cultures are special the moors and british are equal

I suggest you not talk about greeks in here:ufdup: you will unleash the wrath of coli eygptologists.

This thread is not about the British so go create a thread about that and celebrate them in there and have the time of your life.
