They are finally getting off of the backs of millennials
Millenials becoming the Boomers they fought so much against. You hate to see itBruh I promise you folks were saying the same things about Millennials and our mental health days as you're saying about Gen Z. I'm seeing word for word the talking points that was said to me about my generation when I first got into the work force. shyt crazy.
Don't try to tell these Millennials that their dollar went farther and they aren't feeling the squeeze of wage stagnation in combination with a brutal job market on your level either. You can pretty much figure out what their reaction would be based on what the Boomers said when we said the same things to themMillenials becoming the Boomers they fought so much against. rightHalf of em mentally ill nobody trying to deal with that.
I don't have access to everyone's pay. They get paid based on their qualifications, experience etc. That's how pay works.I saw you completely sidestep the salary question, because I promise what you're paying those kids will tell people everything they need to know about your anecdote. I don't have any issues at all conversing and being social with any of my six figure Gen Z coworkers and I don't see anything that's different with that specific group. They work hard, are pleasant to be around, are willing learners and some are even already married. Kind of like every other generational group of high earners.
I'd wager if we looked at the income levels of the group of Gen Z workers you're around and compared their behavioral traits with Gen X and Millennials in the same income brackets at the same ages there won't be much difference.
But do keep in mind Millennials were probably making within 10% of that same money in 2009 acting that way.
That's because they're older (and still working the same positions as 23 year olds apparently) lol. When Gen Z is older their temperament will change, just like Millennials and Gen X did. Or have we already forgotten that Gen X was the original slacker/rebellious/didn't want to work generation of our lifetime when they were in their 20s?I don't have access to everyone's pay. And I already mentioned we have Gen X & Gen Z that work similar positions and yet don't have the same behaviors so that's a null point.
Again you can disagree. It changes nothing especially my opinion and obviously the opinion of many employers including the ones in this thread.
I'm the OM. I don't work their position but whatever you say. It's obvious that others sharing their experience have you in your feeling. Of course you want to defend shyt you don't have to deal with and want to explain away everything to defend your own ego. We're all wrong. You're so right. You win and nothing changes. That's because they're older (and still working the same positions as 23 year olds apparently) lol. They been saying this silly shyt about the younger generations since they started categorizing people into generations lol.
Doesn't that become a self perpetuating problem? Older ages age out and retire, but since employers didn't want to take the risk on someone they perceived would leave, there's a shortage of qualified people to replace those who retired. This is about employers only wanting to hire people another company already trained. Gen Z has no experience, so employers don’t want to pay to train them only for them to leave in a couple years.
The best employee to hire is one in the mid 30s and 40s with kids and a mortgage because you know they aren’t going anywhere. Gen Z gonna bounce soon as they get experience.
