I'm about ready to really turn it up and just lie more :russ:
I was the king of job gaps disappearing in mere moments:whew:

Breh when I used to do resumes for people I would be the king of deception with some of those clients.

Koala: "so what was ya duties"

Client: "sheeet mayne I had to do the dishes and shyt"

Koala : "dish maintenance operator" :krs:

I’ve been in the workforce since the 90s brother that shyt don’t move me at all.

The 90s? :mjlol:You mean the time when rent, food, and gas was cheap and any regular job was good enough? The time when college was actually still affordable? I'm assuming you already have a house, a nicely stacked 401k, and a spouse who helping out. No shyt you ain't phased. This is about people entering the job market now with no experience. :francis: Older people keep failing to realize shyt is DIFFERENT now because they already settled down.

I'm fully employed, but I can't imagine entering the job market today fresh outta college. shyt looks way harder when you read what people are going through.

Breh its getting to the point where we are all sitting at home.

These jobs out here are designed to be facades to make it seem like the economy is in good shape. In reality, it's a free fall and the only reason why nobody saying that part out loud, is because of the war involving people against the establishment.

I had to snap myself out of taking shyt gigs and just settling for a hand at writing, music, etc while I wait for my disability. Trust, it's even a struggle for creators and business minded brehs.

Reality hits that these are some dark times, thus why I'm thankful to the bottom of my soul to be a better place than where I was ages ago being naive that this economy was going to crumble at any minute.

Glad you in a good space, I've brought up Ghost jobs before, but again, people go NAH, NOT REAL and proceed to stay ignorant.
I had one happen to me. I applied, we spoke once, they they just, disappeared. The recruiter just poofed away too:mjlol:

That time never existed.

What I’m talking about is what we had to go through in the job hunting process.

Stop looking for excuses and work on your reading comprehension.

ghost jobs are real

I know that for a fact
It's getting to the point where it's like bots on a YouTube comment section.

They will post some gig that's too good to be true, you put your deets in, only to realize that the position will never get back to you because it's made up.

It drove me nuts when i was job searching. It's a soulless monster of events. I feel for those that are stuck in this rat race.

I'm not using excuses, I'm just looking through the perspective of Gen Z.

Times and standards were different in the 90s. People weren't desperate because living was cheap, employers were more easy going. Today people are desperate because student loans are $40k, average rent is $1800, car note is $600, car insurance is high, food is high.

You should tell employers to stop ghosting desperate people.

Top it off is people that just don't get it and act like you ain't trying hard enough. This job market ain't no joke. I'm glad shyt finally jumped off for me cause I'd hate to be fresh outta college right now. Just makes no sense that breaking into the job market gotta be so difficult :francis:

Its more of "I got mines and I worked hard and LOOK AT ME" babble.

For instance, when my family and I were sleeping in the car, ringing phones left and right, and trying to find some form of refuge before I swallowed my pride. My wife's "could have been" supervisor came at me with this whole "I STARTED AS A WAITRESS AND LOOK AT ME NOW :krs: "

  • Nevermind she was the "one of the good ones" for a migrant organization that favors latinos :mjpls:
  • Nevermind that I was and continue to be in a bad state to even do shyt, other than wait
  • Nevermind that her babyfather was the dopeman that got sent away, thus why she was stunting until that ordeal happened
  • Nevermind the fact that my wife just started the gig and its a bimonthly pay
Its always ASSumptions. Thus, why I always be real with folks, and not gloat on my comeuppance because you never know what could happen. Hell, half a decade ago I didn't see the end results of letting go, because I was "making money", yet at the same time.....losing my family :mjcry:

20 years ago I used to be on the craigslist jobs section, and people there were constantly talking about how jobs would post fake salaries and were playing games with salaries. It's no surprise that they passed the New York pay transparency law in 2023, basically confirming what people used to talk about in 2004, smh. So when I see Gen Z behaving like this I understand it.
