The only time I bothered to debate you, you lost. I told you I'm not spending any more time indulging you after the AIDS incident, and I will not.
The AIDS debate....I lost? Were you even in the discussion.
The only time I bothered to debate you, you lost. I told you I'm not spending any more time indulging you after the AIDS incident, and I will not.
No, not really. I'm a deist for mathematical reasons, mainly probability. I find it more probable than not that some sort of entity or entity might exist. I have NO idea what he/she/it/they/us/? is.
All I know is that science is the best way of understand the universe and the only way to understand that/those entity (or lack thereof). I also admit that agnostic atheists hold the strongest logical argument and that a deity may not exist. My mind is not capable of understanding such a thing. No one's mind is.
If you believe that pillars hold up clouds or that the angel gabriel was sent by god to speak to a man, you're lying. I don't care if you believe it or not.
I think you're confused about the differences between facts and opinions.
You're also confused about the difference between an idea and a clue. You present an idea, then say you have no idea. When in reality, it appears it's a clue that you don't have.
So are you lying?
A lie is something that is not a fact. An opinion can be a lie.
If you believe for example that god came down and made a man a prophet by sending an angel to speak to him, even if you believe that to be true, you are still lying when you say that you don't assign attributes to a deity.
I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding the point you are trying to make here. Can you word it better?
So who determines what's a lie and what's not? You? You've done nothing but contradict yourself over and over.
A deist who believes any "idea" of god is a lie. :hov:
You just said you don't know definitively one way, yet you seem 100% sure the other.
If "no one" knows about God how do you know if God exists he didn't send prophets?
You're not lying or speaking the truth at this point. You're pulling horse shyt outta your ass.
I said that claiming that "god" is beyond description and then assigning concrete descriptions to "god" is a lie. Any one claiming they have an idea about god and turning around and saying god is not describable is a contradiction.
So you can define god? Is that what you're saying? Please begin to define god for me. I'm all ears.
What do you mean?
Because by claiming that god sent a prophet, it is claiming they understand god's workings, which is impossible for humans to do. There has never been any evidence of such a thing. Not one time in the history of human beings.
Why do you pretend that you're some curious soul engaging in philosophical discussion? Your agenda has been very clear here.
Aren't you a Muslim?
But isn't saying God is indescribable an idea?
When did I say I could describe God? I don't even know if God exists. However, contrary to what you said above, I have a personal idea of what I think God might be. So I guess that makes me a liar huh?
It seems like you're claiming to know for sure, 100% what God is NOT. How can you have an idea of what God is not, but it's impossible for someone to have an idea of what God is. And the latter part includes yourself because you're a deist.
I think you're looking to deep in it. People have their beliefs. Believing something doesn't make you a liar. You say it's impossible for humans to understand god's workings. How can you determine such a thing without having at least an idea about God yourself? But you said earlier anyone with an idea about god (which would include yourself) is a liar.
My agenda is clear? Obviously not if you think I'm a Muslim. I'm agnostic, breh. You're all over the place.
What's your personal idea of what "God" is?
Answer that and I'll respond to the rest.
Like I said, I'm not sure if God exists. But when people describe like "life forces" or like whatever sparked the big bang or the force behind evolution. The force that pushes life on. I don't think of a physical being or anything like that.
But again, I don't know if God even exists. This isn't me speaking fact, this is just my opinion.
Do you hold this to be the absolute truth?
It's the absolute truth that that is my opinion.
I see what you're trying to do.
Not trying, but proving.
Do you hold it to be the absolute truth? You're doing so well, let's keep going.
I told you in the original post it was my opinion. You asked me if it was "absolute truth" and I again informed you it was my opinion.
You're not even running in circles. You're completely stationary right now.
But do you hold your opinion as an absolute truth?
Simple question.
