College football boomin like a mufugga tho :coffee:

Teams are finally approaching Bama in terms of recruiting and talent level. Obviously they haven't surpassed them yet, but those 3-4 loss teams from a few years ago now have championship potential.

I think a big problem with the NFL is that there has been so much emphasis placed on Quarterbacks and they have changed the rules to make QBs the focal point of team success...but theres really only 3 or 4 in the whole league that are impressive.

People criticized the NBA for promoting individual players over teams but the NFL has low key done the exact same thing with the QB position. But at least the NBA actually had the stars to back it up...

The nfl will be fine but the dip in ratings There's a lot of reasons. Over saturation. Cte knowledge coming out. The scumbaggery and greed of the nfl. The debates

I also think increasingly warm weather is apart of it. On a 90 degree day a lot of people don't want to sit in a house all day and watch football. Especially if you have a family

this comes down to greed. that's all. that's it. if the NFL made more decisions with its heart and head, and fewer with its wallet, there is not a single problem they're faced with now that couldnt have been solved YEARS ago.

that's one thing the NBA has mastered over the last 10-15 years. they know how to prioritize an immediate profit. how to play the long game that will lead to profit later (even if its unprofitable today). and when to say fukk a profit and support initiatives that will endear fans to the game.

the NFL cant even salute members of the military without getting dragged into a pay-for-play scandal.

NFL has peaked, stop making excuses. for a sport that can't gain real traction outside of north america, its growth is pretty much capped. at some point it's going to decline, the real test will be seeing how/if the NFL responds this offseason and if numbers continue to go down in 2017
It wasn't going to go up forever :yeshrug:

It's still fukking huge. The election is definitely taking away some viewers

take away fantasy and betting, the NFL is below NBA status.. their product is awful... that Bengals Broncos was game on Sunday was horrifically boring :francis:

That game was alright. What was really boring was bengals/steelers on week 2. A division rivalry game and it felt like nothing and I just turned it off.

shyt is whack.
