this isn't true. They set beanie up for success. Gave him a label deal with the State Property, 2 movies, soundtrack to go with the movies to promote his crew, put him on multiple singles, and still after that, he wanted to be in the streets. Beans was given an opportunity that many wanted and he wanted to have one foot in the streets for reasons only he knows.

Lyor made millions, Cam made millions
Beans'a tell you if he wasn't in his feelings

Beans was holding himself back. jay hopped on tracks with him and put him on his album so what more do you want him to do.

Everything is Jay Z’s fault
slow news day so throw jay's name out there i guess :manny:

My nikka, you and I know 50 wouldnt've popped as big as he did without his beefs and his war stories.

Thats not taking anything away from any of em, im talkin about the fans.

Then they act strange when some of em really live it like they tell it.

Yeah, and what he got out of it was nine bullets... dropped from Columbia... basically blacklisted...

He made his own way back and wasn't out in the street actin' like a moron after he got the deal with Aftermath.

Make no mistake, 50 was well on his way to being another story of a rap ngga whose shyt was ruined cause he wanted to stay "outside" instead of focusing on his career. He didn't achieve none of the shyt he achieved by still running around Queens beefin' with nikkas who had nothing to lose.

hell, i always believed Beans overachieved

how big was a fat straight forward serious gangsta lyricist with no sing a longs even supposed to get

he coulda took it further i suppose, but what he achieved was already unprecedented from my purview

Hmmm,if only Jay knew a guy who had a nack for turning fat grimey nikkas into superstars:jbhmm:

Oh im sorry ,I forgot. Jay doesnt, and hasnt ever had any affiliation with the man they call Puff Diddy:mjgrin:

What derailed SIg's career was his out of control behavior, and self destructive path LOL

I am a serious Sigel fan but I know the truth

People can say anything now on social media and pidcasts, but I was around

-he broke some dude's jaw lol

-He got arrested with a bottle of xanax and percoset and cough syrup and a pistol, high out of his mind, in a brand new Escalade

- he gunned down some dude over NOTHING

which stalled his third album release, and put him right in the headwinds of the Def Jam/ROC break up, by the time he got out of the feds, time had passed him by. He was never going to do numbers in 2009-2010, post Drake and Wayne.

Everything you mentioned sounds like a marketing/promotional dream in the 90s and 2000s:mjlol:

Irrc he went to jail after B Coming. That album got alot of love actually, not sure if he wouldve been a superstar off of it though. It was already too late in the game and people were too familiar with his name by then.

Lets all be honest here, his moment was coming off the Jadakiss battle. That was the moment he got alot of eyes and impressed alot of people. But was there another high profile battle going on around that time that may have stepped on Beans moment to shine:jbhmm:?

In that sense I can see Ness gripe. But its foolish to think that was purposefully done by Jay. It was just bad timing imo. Its still hard for me to believe Jay saw Sigel and didnt think he had a Biggie on his hands. And if he believed that, you would think he wouldve been pushed more. But you also have to remember Jay was mostly in artist mode back then. Had he been what he is now and discovered Beans,im sure more artist development wouldve taken place. Some might wonder if he saw he had a Biggie on his hands, and thats why he didnt push him though:sas2:

But i personally dont think he was threatened, due to Sigels limitations. He wouldve needed a Puffy/Dre to turn him into something more.

He WAS poised for some form of stardom. The B. Coming was supposed to be released in 2003. When he caught that case, it derailed everything. He had a open attempted murder case with a living victim. He couldn't tour, the album got pushed back. His hype went higher, but by the time the album dropped in 2005, the business at Roc/Def Jam had broke, and the album was released on DDMG.

It went gold, but then he had to do a year in the feds, which kneecapped his momentum, and then by the time he came out resigned to Def Jam/ROC, the moment had passed in 2007. There's a lot of factors, just like anything, but if he released The B.Coming in 2003 and never catches the murder case, his life may have gone different.

2 different people with 2 different positions at 2 different times

the bad boy machine cant be compared to rockafella

bad boy sprouted from the continuity of a successful assembly line of rnb hits... combined with the melodic style of biggie.... alongside the fact that he BIGGIE

put sigel on them exact same templates and they aren't hits ...

Someoe can push you and still hold you back a lil :yeshrug:

The Roc was built around Jay, so I can see him trying to make sure everyone remain under a certain level.

Maybe that's why things became also crazy when Cam came along because ha was also a star.

When you add the way Jay acted when he ran DJ, one can be suspicious.

Beans was a great talent…he just had too many unfortunate incidents that kept him from reaching bigger heights.

Jay definitely snaked most of his artists but he genuinely looked out for Beans probably more than any other rapper besides Bleek. I can’t even blame Jay in this instance.

I just remembered that Mariah Carey was in State Property 2:dead:

This nikka Beans had one of the most popular singers in history in his straight to DVD hood movie:dead:
I went to the movies to see state property lol, what more did they want them to do for beans, he fell off due to him not staying off the drugs and out the streets , what happened to the beans and Scarface album? It was cool til his behavior started to affect the music :yeshrug:
