I think people don't have a problem with them being from the streets.
It's when they're self destructive and fukk up their own careers.
Jay-Z and 50 are from the safe rough ass areas.
But they knew to move smart once the money came.
Beans was never gonna be a superstar artist, so in the end he really overachieved. He was always gonna be where he ended up. Yes, you can say they held him back a bit. Yes, they could've really put the entire focus on him, to really try to give him that mega push. But they say you should never sign to another active artist anyway.
As far as Beans actions, he's not the first half in/out criminal to have a record deal. Why was it considered such a hindrance for Beans, and not a lot of the others? Didn't they run an entire campaign behind Jay's trial? Him doing 1 year wouldn't have really derailed anything, if the dedication from the label was there. But at the same time, you can say that they really don't owe him anything, and he owe it to himself?

He gave Beans the car because people were making fun of him driving his own Bentley. Beans had to continue the payments. Then Beans traded it for 2 cars to Ace Capone who ended up getting life plus 55.

And he wouldn’t stop acting up
Think about it the entire state property was never all together out of jail for more than 5 months
