at one point he had kids rocking state prop clothing, watching state prop movies and listening to their music on the radio. He had all the exposure you could hope to get with a record label. Just needed to capitalize on it.


Now that he lost his voice he can't tour or act anymore, could have at least maintained a lifestyle touring with other rappers and doing a small film feature here and there like Fredo Starr.

Kinda how I look at it. Did anyone really expect beans to be some big crossover artist? He lacks any sort of mainstream appeal.

Now in terms of Hov "holding him back," I do believe that Jay probably sharked some songs, beats, features, etc. that were probably meant for beans but once Hov heard them he was like nah i'mma grab this for myself. But I guarantee you there was no ego trippin about "beans might become bigger than me!" b/c it just wasn't going to happen.
