Watching The Sixth Sense: "great another Ghost movie, let me guess Bruce Willis dies in the end setting up a sequel for the kid to help him out" :camby:

Godfather II once the viewer sees Fredo's the traitor: "ow I get it the brothers will fight and in the end realise they're all they got and make up :camby:"

West where the Sunsets
Just finished. This flick was piff. :wow:

At first I had a problem with the continuous "flashbacks" until I finally thought to myself that it has to play a huge role in the plot.

I need to watch it again cause I'm still :patrice: at some stuff.

There's literally no other way for this movie to end. it's the perfect ending. it's science fiction...look up at the stars and you're seeing them as they were millions of years ago because light takes that long to reach here. time is relative and based on perception as well as having physical properties. the real point of this movie is if you knew the future of your child is to die at a young age of cancer and your husband would leave you would you still go through with it for all those years of happiness and love? movie was incredible

Nah, b. It should've ended with the alien ships attacking and the army fighting back and there being explosions all over the place. Independence Day: Resurgence >>>>> Arrival

Late to the party as well. I liked the movie but I thought they could've done a better job expounding on this alternative way of looking at time.

Any good critical writeups of this movie? I'm sure there's a bunch I missed.

saw this.. thought it was pretty boring and preachy by the end.

all communication with aliens should be done with pictures and shyt.. photoshop some pics with squids and humans just chilling.. then some with squids dancing over dead human bodies and ask them to pick 1 :yeshrug: sprinkle in some coli smileys if you really wanna get your point across
:laff:

Actually IDR ended with the aliens leaving. Just like this movie. Just like every other alien invasion movie:manny:
They just made it "weird" with the time stuff.

I still don't get the point if that scene where she's in her tent and she's talking the squid. Seemed really random IMO.
