Plot hole: Amy Adams wasn't "thinking in their language," she was translating their symbols to English on her iPad based on the vocabulary she had previously established with them. There's a difference between listening to a French nikka speak and interpreting the words in your head, versus your thoughts literally being French. Also, that shared vocabulary was so limited it's ridiculous to believe that that she could become a master of space and time in the span of a few weeks based on it. Dumb, dumb, dumb
