What is happening in Gaza is a crime against humanity. The truth of the situation is that if the US wanted the killings to end, the killings would end. The US, and that includes both parties, are 100% behind supporting Israel. Sending munitions and funds to the country while it continues the massacre of innocent women and children. So neither US political party have clean hands on this issue.
What I find also very distasteful is how some of you, whom I assume to be Black Americans, will excuses any action your political party participates in. Let's be honest, both Republicans and Democrats are enabling the genocide by not using the immense power and influence this nation has on Israel to stop it. To seek to excuse the actions or to act like a speech means action, when true action is needed to stop the killings, seems to be very disingenuous in the extreme to me.
In the case of Democrats, it also does not help that they allowed an Israeli to speak, but banned any Palestinians from speaking. If one side was allowed to speak, the other side should have been allowed to speak too. Well that is if the Democratic party is the party of fair dealings and justice that is. That act of excluding the Palestinians from taking the stage and speaking, seemed so very Republican like to me.

Y'all know many Black democrats (especially the ones on here) think they are the modern versions of the black radical tradition?? King, Malcolm, Fred Hampton, etc.
A lot of the revolutionaries who weren't killed, jailed, or exiled ended up in the professional class which saw the rise of the black 'revolutionary' scholar. The 'Million Man March' and the late 90s/2000s reparations push are the last vestiges of an independent black political movement in action.
Black politics is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic liberal establishment. Our role in that establishment is to leverage our civil rights tradition and provide moral legitimacy for white liberals in their companies and institutions. It's black bourgeoisie work. It's tenuous work, of course, just ask Claudine Gay.
If black liberals like Gay who care about fairness on the question of Palestine are front-line expendable, you can be sure as shyt black centrists in the democratic party who could give a fukk about Palestine are not going to say anything. Why miss out on that AIPAC money and end up like Cori Bush?
I'm not even mad at them on that front. It's just funny when they tell us their neo-liberalism/centrist politics is some kind of bulwark against right-wing fascism in this country all the while being in lockstep with the same fascists when it comes to the support of a genocidal ethnostate, and then go hide when the leader of that ethnostate shows up to Congress. Doesn't show much resolve against fascism, does it?

What's the logic of this comment? There's some random person in the video being a jerk because a protester annoyed him. I don't know who he is, doubt he has any meaningful power, and will likely never hear of him again. And that's supposed to impact my voting choices why?
I call out the DNC over and over for their support of Israel and I hate apartheid states of all stripes, but the premise of this thread is just performative nonsense.
