One key way to combat white supremacy is spreading knowledge.
Teaching people that it is a lie. Making sure young people of all races know this. They may quote MLK in school "all men are created equal", but that doesn't keep them from having a Eurocentric mindset any more than the Dare program keeps kids off drugs.
When people point to "black on black crime" or "rap music" and throw around "respectability politics" to try to deflect from the real reasons the black community is in the state it's in, expose these lies and tell the truth about why black people in general in this country are disenfranchised.
Otherwise, young people could grow up with the idea that white people are genuinely naturally superior. People prop up the illusion of a post racial society (sometimes using the few black people with a measure of success) to reinforce white supemacy.
After all, if all things being equal, the white community fares better than the black community, what does that say about black people?
That's why it's so important to shine a light on white supremacy and highlight how the black community was sabotaged. How, if the roles were reversed, and black people had done everything to whites that they did to us, white people would be in the exact same position. Explain the nuances and how basic human nature is behind how both white and black people act under certain circumstances.
The number of conscious black people is growing due to the Internet and other factors, but we're still a minority. Keep spreading consciousness, even if others mock you for "just talking and not 'actually doing something.'" or call you militant.
This is also a deflection because no movement of any kind is started without dialogue. Knowledge is power. Some would rather you be dead in the streets for trying to take out a racist cop than online sharing the truth with other blacks.
Even sites like the Coli can be put to good use for that effect. Yeah, you have your c00ns, trolls, saboteurs, and racists, but you also have some very intelligent people. Quite a few things I myself have read on here have broadened my perspective.
