Melo trade was fine it just didn’t work out for a multitude of reasons.

Felton was never as good as he was in his first Knicks stint and found his way back to us. Gallo and Wilson were solid players you would have like to keep as depth pieces but they became very injury prone. Mozgov was nothing special. Out the picks we gave up they came up with Jamal Murray which is nice.

We had Stoudemire, Billups, Fields, Shumpert all have major injuries. It’s just a lot man to that era. We were unlucky. If luck was on our side we would have been a perennial playoff team.

:mjlol:
LaVine just signed a 5 year extension, didn't even meet or entertain any other teams during his first unrestricted free agency period, and you think he's a real possibility for the Knicks?

:dead:
Donovan Mitchell is literally right there available. Why in the hell you thinking about Zach LaVine in Blue and Orange?
:what:
Cause nikkas is that delusional. I ain't defending that shyt either. :laff:

I know Zach is a low key dude, but I don’t think he likes playing with Derozan. It was sold as Derozan coming to Chicago to play with Zach and now it’s clearly Derozans team. Plus, why would you force your way out now when you can get the 5 year 8% max and then force your way out 5 months later.

It's Zachs team and he's the bigger star. He was planning for a bigger contract which he got. The bulls have a better squad than us. Why would he leave Chicago who made the playoffs to join Randle? There was no inclination of Lavine ever ever coming to this team.

Randle contract ain’t that bad, it’s his attitude that’s the prob
It's bad because it limits contract extensions for the young guys. I think they're gonna eventually have to trade 1 of the young guys with Randle and Fournier to extend contracts and bring on another star.

LaVine's knee was fukked up since Dec. and prior to him tweaking his knee, he had torn ligaments in his left thumb. DeMar exceeded everyone's expectations and did more heavy lifting offensively, because Zach clearly wasn't 100%. He still was putting up 25/5/5 all things considered.

After 8 seasons, he made his 1st playoff appearance, even if he did ask for a trade why would he want to go to the Knicks? Mitchell is from the area, and he's on the market. All talks should be hypotheticals on how you get him, not LaVine
