Clearly we havent learned much since our first game

Yeah I ain’t gonna make excuses for the team. I do want to see what it looks like with Mitchell and OG back. I also think KAT 3 pt shooting has to come back for them to operate the offense. Mitch at the 5 and KAT at the 4 would have been a good match up offensively. We got out rebounded by 18 and they shot more 3’s. I don’t think we can stop their 3’s but we got to outrebound them to have a chance. The same rules apply with the Cavs. It’s the same recipe for failure they goon KAT up and the guards attack him in the pick and role. His limits as a Center is why we need Mitch just like Minny needed Gobert. You put KAT to the 4 against certain opposing lineups and it is as much of a hack as him at the 5 against other lineups.

I also think keeping Precious was a mistake, cause he is just a low skilled tweener, but honestly I don’t know if there was any trades options for him out there. I think they know this but don’t let him walk for nothing either. If everyone is healthy Precious should be getting minutes only if the opponent is running a small ball lineup. He is not your primary backup if you have high expectations.

I legit think the Knicks should be peeping the waiver wire for bench depth if anything is out there. Maybe bring up TJ Warren. Also Payne should be higher on the roster than Precious.

Thibs got smoked.
Straight outclassed, Hakeem vs Shaq in the Finals type beat.

This isn’t about Hart, KAT or Bridges. Where is the set plays to attack Kornet and Horford?

Why do we continue to be in drop coverage?

Why aren’t we implementing more Huk and Kolek and playing them to their strengths. These games all boil down to how you utilize players and how good are you at minimizing their weaknesses. Thibs does the opposite and just calls nothing, gives the keys to the players to let them play free.

That shyt doesn’t work against teams with great coaching. Team is an easy 2nd round exit. They gotta fire him.

We’re running drop coverage still cause the plan is for Mitch to come back, plus Thibs doesn’t do zone.

Well then we’re fukked because the team last year with Mitch I believe had a 129 defensive rating against the Celtics. The fact Thibs also doesn’t combat the zone is maddening.

It’s frustrating too because we’re limited in how we can play these teams based on personal. It’s so easy to attack Brunson and KAT defensively, Mikal is more a switch defender not a 1v1, Josh plays with effort but he gets exposed. Lowkey might have to lower expectations.

I don’t think we can stop the 3’s, Thibs has never cared about stopping the three. However. we can out rebound them and hopefully outshoot them on the other end. I want to see what this team looks like with OG and Mitch before I lower my expectations too. The Cavs are eating well on a two big lineup this year, The Wolves went to the WCF like that, I think the Knicks can run it better.

I ain’t a fan of Thibs but we’re an absolutely horrible playoffs or at least a disappointing playoffs next year before they even consider firing him. He’s the modern Larry Brown, and look what happened after they got rid of Larry Brown last time.
