The annoying part for me is that his reffing dominated the broadcast. Jericho Sims runs a give and go into a face-up dribble and eurostep to the rim that draws an and-one...they're too busy talking about RJ blowing his whistle to point out how tough that move is for even most wings.
No one on the telecast even realized when the Pistons started switching looks and throwing zone defenses up. Or when the Knicks came out of halftime with Feron Hunt showing at the free throw line during pick and rolls to alleviate ball pressure (which led to some nice connections with Sims). They were too busy laughing at Jefferson forgetting to raise his hand on a three point shot.
Nobody gives a damn about Jefferson, his road to reffing, or the crappy job he did. But they forcefed us that ish the whole time.
On a basketball note, it's terrifying to watch Thibs' offense flounder as soon as teams combine ball pressure over screens with some zone defense looks again. The free throw line counter worked until it didn't and there wasn't much after. Thibodeau needs an offensive coordinator, his offense hasn't looked the same since Woodson left.
