Marvel ain't getting bad press from this, Sony is.

Cats don't give a fukk about the specifics....they read "talks broke down between Sony and Marvel" and "Spider-Man no longer in the MCU" and went at Sony's neck.

If you go on social media, this shyt is all over it. It's trending in 7 out of the top 10 spots on Twitter. And literally everyone is shytting on Sony.

Which is why Sony is on some :whoa: "hold on a sec, it isn't over yet."

Fred.
They might be working it out but Sony really give a fukk. They own a property that’s just as big as the MCU. shyt PlayStation might even be bigger.:patrice:

It’s a wrench in their plan, sure. But “Crippling” The MCU? Absolutely not. Marvel has shown they can develop their characters very well for MCU inclusion. There are other heros that can handle the mantle of The Avengers.
Why do you act as tho I didnt say possibly before the crippling? It could very well be crippling but like you said Disney has a stockpile of other heros. But you don't just eat the loss of a hero like spiderman especially since they've already invested in a future with him.

Did Marvel really think that Sony was gonna give them Spidey after they hit a Billi? Around knew they were gonna run once the hit the mark

Some weeks back it was reported and posted in one of the threads that if SFFH did a billion the deal and agreement was to continue the partnership with Disney and if it DIDNT, then everything would revert back to Sony.

Seems like they renig but yes...... I thought that was the understanding

That's pure speculation. The current Marvel deal didn't extend past a third solo venture so they wouldn't have hedged the entire Avengers story on a character they had no assurances of having access to.
Its speculation but if you watch the movies you can definitely see what they are trying to do. So realistically, after watching the last spiderman movie, you wouldn't bet that marvel is trying to groom spiderman to take that Iron man role? Word?

Also, although nowhere near ideal,
FFH did end in a way where MCU movies going forward could just say Spiderman went into hiding.
It's kind of perfect if they were truly forced to play hardball and pretend Spiderman doesn't exist for the immediate future. Creatively, it's much easier for MCU films to not mention Tom Holland Spiderman than it is for Tom Holland Spiderman films to not mention Tony Stark or Nick Fury or the Avengers.

The MCU has 5 films planned for the next few years and none of them have Spiderman in them.

Disney needs to chill

They literally made Spider-Man the new Tony, and ended on a cliffhanger. They need this dude now.

Does anyone care to argue that Into the Spiderverse isn't a masterpiece? :usure:

We all know it is. That doesn't matter. It made the least out of any spidey film animated or live action. If you honestly think Spiderverse no matter how critically acclaimed it is has any stock in this fight you are 100% mistaking.

If you casuals went out and supported it, it would have made more. It's by far the best Spider-Man movie out there. It's damn sure the only one that's ever gonna win an Oscar :hubie:
