So we were all hoping Far From Home would succeed to keep this run going, only for SOny's greedy dumb asses to use that as the reason to abandon ship.

There's a reason why their last 2 Spidey franchises failed to the point where they needed to run to Marvel in the first place :snoop:

lmaooooooooooooooooo the hurt

Cause this shyt moving just as quick as us fans panicking.

Guarantee when this shyt hit the fan both teams agreed to try this shyt again, and no way in hell that includes that original proposal. That's basically what sony wanted.

Marvel ain't getting bad press from this, Sony is.

Cats don't give a fukk about the specifics....they read "talks broke down between Sony and Marvel" and "Spider-Man no longer in the MCU" and went at Sony's neck.

If you go on social media, this shyt is all over it. It's trending in 7 out of the top 10 spots on Twitter. And literally everyone is shytting on Sony.

Which is why Sony is on some :whoa: "hold on a sec, it isn't over yet."

Fred.

Gonna regress back to the mean. People saw that shytty Venom movie just cause it’s the first Venom movie. People won’t flock to the next one like that.

Venom was not good, at all. People posting the total, forget to point out that It barely did 200mm domestic box office.

They can keep making bad movies that will sell because of their IP, until American audiences stop showing up and they have to crawl home to marvel for a spark again. It's like they forgot how bad the Andrew Garfield movies were, and it wasn't that long ago.

Sad :trump:

Good post from ERA

"Sony is a publicly traded stock. If they took 50% of the next MCU Spider-Man movie they would be making less money than if they produced another relatively mediocre one. Disney is licensing someone else’s character and trying to make more money off it than the other party would. It’s a ludicrous proposal, frankly.

Sony should give up no more than 25% realistically but could maybe come to an agreement at 30% with Disney paying half of the production costs."

Fan backlash withstanding this is another case of Disney trying to bend nikkas over.

Peter is the linchpin of the next avenger phases. If he's not in it, they have to go back to the drawing board. That's like if phase 1 had to pull Iron Man. That's a huge hit

It’s a wrench in their plan, sure. But “Crippling” The MCU? Absolutely not. Marvel has shown they can develop their characters very well for MCU inclusion. There are other heros that can handle the mantle of The Avengers.

That's pure speculation. The current Marvel deal didn't extend past a third solo venture so they wouldn't have hedged the entire Avengers story on a character they had no assurances of having access to.
