Yeah, going on a rampage has a myriad of Feds chasing you determined to put you down. The game clearly shows that killing people is wrong, it's against the law and the consequences are great when you do it.

and if you snatch the wrong person up out of the car. its a fight. you do it in the wrong area on gta, and the entire block is hoping out their whips trying to scrap. you mess around and wind up :deadmanny: with that slow motion in black in white. GTA aint a game.

i yanked the wrong dude out one time .and got popped by some of his boys hoping out the whip with him.

real life. you go running wild across a busy street. you're liable to get hit and end up :deadmanny: black and white slow

GTA aint a game.

Games like GTA where its nothing but sick and mindless violence without a purpose need to be curbed if not banned outright.

Blood and gore within a scope of reason is OK but the way some of these games just cater towards the bloodlust that a lot of these losers who play videogames seem to have is disturbing.
Video games don't turn normal responsible people violent. Millions have played GTA and how many have acted it out in real life or even wanted to?

people being entertained by death..murder..and mayhem [real or imagined] should be examined...gta and mortal kombat are only games but they are morbid and perverse games...why dont people see the games they play as being morbid is a valid question to me...i like violent movies and games and all that shyt but i realize the thrill and enjoyment i feel conflicts with my morality...enjoying the walking dead and not seeing the perversion in that enjoyment seems dysfunctional to me.,,and a lot of people are like that...

And then book burnings like homie @Klarifeye The Great is against, just because people can't handle certain shyt.

i'm telling ya'll the shyt happened before it can happen again the Mature games ban JUST got lifted in Australia like 2 years ago :mindblown:

When you let people who aren't participants in the artistic medium (people who criticize games but don't play games, people who criticize rap but don't listen to rap) gain enough control to dictate what is and what isn't appropriate you will have bedlam within that medium.

People want to take all the onus off of PARENTS talking to their kids about what is real and what is fake. And off of the fact that there are just some people who will always slip through the cracks.

Film has been violent almost from its inception and yet with the advent of the FPS and games of the sort they are the new scapegoat. But Media is not the issue...THE CULTURE is the problem, and the media is simply a representation artistically or realistically, of that culture. Violent games and film and music won't change until WE as an American culture change.

Which won't happen anytime soon...:stopitslime:

They got some nerve talking about videogame are violent, when we live in the most violent thinking country on the planet. This country drops more bombs on people then all countries combined, and they worried about the influence of video games. lol. Aint that the pot calling the kettle black. Firing Hellfire rockets through Iraqi homes aint a big deal I get it.

Lol. Some of you dudes are fukking illiterate.

I play violent video games, I'm about to beat far cry 3 right now which is pretty damn bloody.

I'm not laying the blame of every massacre in this country at the feet of the video game industry, I'm just being honest when I say that games that don't seem to think twice about letting you mow down pedestrians and pump old ladies full of bullets outside the frame of the plotline rub me the wrong way, and those feelings are amplified when some disturbed nut decides to turn that shyt into reality. Is it really irrational for me and others to feel that way? :comeon: I understand you dudes wanna defend this hobby at all costs, but you won't lose cool points for recognizing what's obvious, I promise.

I don't even know why we need to talk about games and movies and shyt, wasn't this cat like 20 years old? If we are speaking more broadly on the culture as a whole then okay....but this dude was a grown ass man. He wasn't some "impressionable young mind".

I'm even questionable of this shyt regarding his mental state....unless he didn't know the difference between right and wrong...then he was criminally sane during the shootings. He knew what he was fukking doing.

Damn on the news pundit show "The Cycle" on MSNBC, that just had a segment about this very issue with a guest Dr. and he shut them down on trying to link video games and movies to someone committing a crime. Once they post the vidoe on their site, I'll link it up. It was funny how it ended, and his stance caught Toure' off guard. He was so matter of fact about shyt with not one word wasted.

I just saw this shyt...dude made me proud....:obama:

Had the fukking talking heads lookin' :wtb:

I never said we should ban all violent video games, I said that games like GTA that encourage mindless/dark kinds of violence need to be addressed. Games that encourage the player to kill innocent people in sick and twisted ways aren't needed in a society where mass murder is becoming the norm, period. If we are going to go after guns, then we have to go after other things that are contributing to this flawed culture.

Why is blood, gore, and guts absolutely necessary to have fun in a video game? I'm sorry, but I don't get it.
there were mass murders way before any GTA gmaes or video games at all. all you people looking for a piss weak excuse so you don't have to address the real problem. how can you talk about banning fukkin video games but not guns?

Happy to see people dropping logic in this thread :obama:

Yep video games is the worst thing happening to this country right now :rudy: I guess we're suppsed to forget the on going TRILLIONS of dollars spent to manufacture weapons and send troops around the world to kill and die over bullshyt while education and medicine get budget cuts.

But you got these sanctimonious fukks talking like violent video games is our real problem while the government would rather spend mad dough on shyt going on outside the country than in.

The games have a rating for a reason. If you don't want your child playing violent games, how about you don't buy the game for your child, or control who your child is around who may be playing the game. Do people not know how to teach their child to separate games from reality? I distinctively remember my mom not really caring for me to be playing golden eye, but she also sat me down and had a long talk about how that was a game, not real life

And while we're at it, lets ban violent sports like football... an activity where kids are rewarded for hitting AN ACTUAL PERSON as hard as they can, as opposed to a pixelated image of a person that is completely non-existent.
