How am I getting slayed when all people are reading into my posts is that I want to ban all violent video games? Nobody wants to even step back and at least look at the situation in an unbiased light. People reading what they want, its the immature nature of this forum, that's why I stopped responding.

These same clowns who are citing the rating system are the same people who would have been against it back before they were implemented when even that was controversial.

I never said we should ban all violent video games, I said that games like GTA that encourage mindless/dark kinds of violence need to be addressed. Games that encourage the player to kill innocent people in sick and twisted ways aren't needed in a society where mass murder is becoming the norm, period. If we are going to go after guns, then we have to go after other things that are contributing to this flawed culture.

Why is blood, gore, and guts absolutely necessary to have fun in a video game? I'm sorry, but I don't get it.
