Considering their tiny population are Jamaicans the most influential people ever?

Since when did Jamaica claim Biggie? :heh: Is being Jamaican a "Race" now? Last time I checked, he was a black man born and raised in the United States. I'm pretty sure his death certificate says African American Man, not Jamaican Man.
I used to think they just meant when someone is jamaican, they have characteristics that were unique to Jamaicans, but now I'm starting to see a lot use it to mean the person is special because they have Jamaican BLOOD. I have seen people claim others as Jamaican, and the person has no connection to Jamaica besides eating some of the food, and having a parent being Jamaican. In some cases the person doesn't even know the parent, and they would still claim he/she is Jamaican. Latins do the same shyt. I heard Fabolos, and Az are dominican, but I heard them say they weren't raised by them, that's why the don't rep it, but people think they still should!

I see it as a form of white supremacy without being white. They think just having someone being a certain group, makes the child special somehow.

:gucci::gucci: Dunno why this turned the way it did. I had a thread saying the same thing Per Capita, Jamaica Has Got to Be in The Top 5 As Most Influential Country

With a country of 2.7 million, how is it now turning into a vs AA whose population is 40 million.

The OP clearly stated considering their tiny population........:jbhmm:

Anyways, Jamaica we in this! :blessed:
Jamaicans are just cool people to me(when they are not being ignorant), but I think the influence is more from back in the day then recent. When reggae, and dancehall came out, it was new to see a black person with a different accent, and different form of music that is different but not so much that you can't vibe to it. Then they were the only black people talking about weed, and in a spiritual way, so it was just a new thing. They were like a new form of cool black americans, but since the 90's, I don't see any influence anymore.

Jamaica is living off an old rep, just like NYC, and LA are.

:gucci:"Special"?? Wtf are you talking about

Maybe something is wrong with me, because I never looked at America as a white country, just a lot of white people live here, and therefore have more power, but I never saw it as their country!

I would think the only way I would consider it their country is if they did everything from developing the culture to the laws, but I always knew that wasn't the case, so it being their country was never a thought for me.

I know I sound old, but I just realized this could be why so many foreigners, including blacks, just think black americans were here just living, and contributing nothing. No wonder they worship whites so much, and don't even realize it. I don't know why I never really thought about it, because I thought it was a given how much blacks contributed to this country, without going deep on it.

Even white people give credit sometimes when they tell the American story. So, I'm wondering is it willfully being ignorant, or they really don't know? BUT @Dip is not a foreigner, and he still thinks this, so IDK?:patrice:
The us is majority white led by whites created by and for whites and ruled by whites.:gucci:

It's your right to consider America your country if your AA but White Americans don't care and definetly consider you less American than them even though most AAs have been in the country longer than their families

That's the point I'm making, wtf do they mean when they say it, because if you explain that being Jamaican had nothing to do with the person being who they are, they just keep saying they are Jamaican. I can only take it as they must mean its the blood. I'm just as confused as you are!

yeah,it's majority white, but that means nothing, Jews are even less the blacks, but they have more power then most whites, so numbers are not what makes something your country. For blacks we made so much of this culture that only a fool would ignore this being their country.

I could care less how they FEEL, its about the reality. These same people hated Obamcare, and now they are fighting for it all over the country. I don't care what idiots feel!

AND like I posted, I have seen many whites talk about how blacks made a lot of the culture in this country so its not some unknown thing to them. Even the laws we helped contribute to make better, and give this country the image it has, so you need to rethink what your idea of whose country this is. You are giving them more power then they really have!

I see you can't read, and helping me wonder even more why yall do this?

Let me ask you this, If my parents are from the south, but I'm from NYC, and never went to the south, just ate the food sometimes, and listened to some of the music, does that make me Southern?

Lets take it further, if all I did was just eat the food sometimes, and nothing else, am i still Southern?

Keep it real, no joking around.

I think the confusion comes from the discussion over the person who said biggie was born in Jamaica . Biggie's parents are Jamaican which makes him Jamaican American . However my point is most Jamaicans don't consider their kids/relatives born abroad as Jamaican . They view it strictly as a nationality thing not an ethnicity. I hope I'm being clear now.

As far as America being a white country or not , all the contributions of AAs are great but there's no ownership/leadership so how can this be a black nation

Southern isn't s country or an ethnicity so you'd be a New Yorker or what ever your ethnicity is

You do know parents instill the culture they have onto their children, right?

. However my point is most Jamaicans don't consider their kids/relatives born abroad as Jamaican

That makes no sense.

Because of the contribution to make the country! Without culture,a country is nothing but a corporation where people work, and pay taxes.

A country owners always change, but its culture is what makes it a country!

For example, would you consider canada an Asian country now that they are buying up all the property?

Or would you consider Jamaica a white country ebing that white bankers own most of the poperty

See you are playing games now!

You know exactly what I mean!

The only reason people use the nationality of someone who isn't from there is to say the culture of land contributed to hat person being who they are.

Why do yall play these mind games?!

Do you think the average white American and the average black American share the same culture :patrice:
