Had mine this past November. Starving myself and only drinking that liquid sucked. Got it done and thankfully no issues.

The recommended age for men is 45, but I think you should go earlier if you can.@Sonny Bonds sorry you are having those issues. At what age do you recommend people start getting a colonoscopy? I am 39 years old.
Prep day sucks, but the actual procedure is fine.

Just did mine. The prep was not bad at all. Def do not use the lemon pack, it makes it nasty as hell. I was warned and did not use it.
Stop eating at 11:00pm on Saturday and started taking the prep at 6:15pm Sunday. Once you get by the initial taste, it was not bad. Started shyttin' around 8:30pm and stayed up until 4:30am Monday morning and finally passed out. Colonoscopy was at 2:00pm. I sipped on the second half of the prep all night and wrapped up at 9:00am, plenty of time to get the last fluids out of me. That was the key, stop drinking that shyt in enough time that you won't be pooping in the doctor's office. Stop crapping at 12:30pm and was on my way.
What was crazy was I got to Kaiser at 1:15pm and checked in. Got to the area in five minutes where the procedure was and they was already calling my name. Went in at 1:20pm and was rolled into the my car at 2:30pm. Super easy and the anesthesia they used to put me to sleep was the bomb. I was already tired and did not even know I passed out until they woke me up. All good, see them back in ten years.

What did they tell you to take for the prep? Was it a jug of water and Miralax or something else?

But I’m quite surprised Americans do their colonoscopies under anaesthesia, in UK we don’t have anything more than gas & air. I was awake during it all.

I've done it a few time because I have Crohn's and IBS.
The best prep is when you use the Miralax/Gatorade mix, and take some Ducolax. The worst was when I picked up a jug with like a gallon of powder from the pharmacy, and mixed it with water

Lol it’s actually crazy seeing this thread. Took a shyt this morning and was bleeding and decided to book an appointment.
