:russell: this is a bunch of bullshyt. alcohol use is way too widespread for it to be causing cancer, and we wouldn't know about it

obviously it's not good for you, but moderate use is not giving people cancer :mjlol:

Same shyt I said… Small amounts? Most people don’t even drink every day… Majority of people drink occasionally if they are at an event or party.. so how even a small amount is going to cause cancer? That’s bullshyt… my grand uncle 90 and still takes a swig of thunderbird out of a flask he had since the 60 lmaoo
This is why i feel everybody should study statistics in school. The plural of anecdote is not data.

Either you live your life staying inside not doing anything scared of everything around you, or just live your life.

We're here for a good time, not a long time. :yeshrug:

the past two weekends i started drinking again after going 4 years sober. Safe to say I will be going back to not drinking again not because of this thread but because my body cant handle the shyt anymore. There is no benefit to me to drink.

what doesnt cause cancer? only thing i can think of is water ? :beli:
Yes, there is a link between drinking water and cancer:

  • Disinfectant byproducts (DBPs)
These chemicals are formed when chlorine and other additives are used to treat water. A DCEG study in Iowa found that long-term exposure to drinking water high in DBPs was associated with rectal and bladder cancers.
    • Arsenic
This substance is naturally found in soil and rocks, and can seep into waterways and drinking water. Long-term exposure to arsenic in drinking water can cause liver, lung, bladder, and kidney cancers.

    • Hexavalent chromium
This chemical has been linked to certain stomach cancers.

      • Nitrate
Studies have shown that people who consume more water with nitrate and eat more meat have an increased risk of colon, kidney, and stomach cancer.
Other contaminants that may be linked to cancer include radioactive materials like uranium and radium, asbestos, and agricultural chemicals.

Water systems that rely on groundwater sources, like aquifers, may have higher concentrations of contaminants and a higher risk of cancer.

i have some phenibut stashed away. its a really good 'going out' booster/social lubricant, but if you take too much it'll make you sleepy

as far as edibles go, it depends. when i make them myself with fresh or avb they always work. most labeled products are made with distillate which is really hit or miss. if your edibles leave an oily film :dame: in your mouth theyre definitely distillate. those dont work for me at ALL most of the time

Doesn't it come down to individual genetics any way?

Meaning two people can be drinkers, one person is predisposed to cancer genetically and will develop cancer at age 60 due to drinking.

While the other person drinks every day until they die a natural death at age 93.

That's why it's hard to interpret these findings. Things are so inconsistent. If every drinker suddenly developed cancer at age 50...yeah we could take it serious.

Everything causes cancer. Having electricity in your home causes cancer!

Black/African Americans have the highest mortality rate of any racial and ethnic group for all cancers combined and for most major cancers. Death rates for all major causes of death are higher for Black/African Americans than for non-Hispanic whites, contributing in part to a lower life expectancy for both Black/African American men and women.

  • From 2015-2019, African American men were 1.2 times and 1.7 times, respectively, more likely to have new cases of colon and prostate cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white men.
  • Black/African American men are 1.8 times as likely to have stomach cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white men and 2.5 times more likely to die from stomach cancer.
  • Black/African American men have lower 5-year cancer survival rates for most cancer sites, as compared to non-Hispanic white men.
  • Black/African American men are twice as likely to die from prostate cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white men.
  • From 2015-2019, Black/African American women were just as likely to have been diagnosed with breast cancer; however, they were almost 40 percent more likely to die from breast cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white women.
  • Black/African American women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with stomach cancer, and they are 2.3 times more likely to die from stomach cancer, as compared to non-Hispanic white women
