Colonoscopy Unappreciation Thread

I literally just got back from mine.

the procedure is nothing cuz all I know is I went in the operating room, and the next minute I was awake in the recovery room.

the only thing that sucks is the prep. that drink they give u taste TERRIBLE, and u gotta drink over a gallon of it. plus I was shytting my brains out yesterday evening to all night and then a bunch of times this morning. I even shyt like 3 or 4 times literally right before the procedure.

I'm eating now for the first time since tuesday afternoon. to say I'm starving is quite the understatement.

How many times did they stab you with needles? That’s the only thing I’m not looking forward to

My Doc prescribed me Cologuard and based on the results, I wouldnt need to go for a Colonoscopy

Results came back negative he said I am good for 5 years

Now I am reading those joints could give false negatives or not find everything

I may have to request the full test

just one needle for the IV. that's no big deal.

I’ve never been hit for an iv before. I’ve only had one blood test done and I was a gigantic baby about it, I can’t fkn stand needles

The alternative is a box under 6ft though so I’m going to go, I just don’t want to voluntarily

Had to get a colonoscopy a couple of years ago and it went pretty quickly and I felt no pain or discomfort.

Should only be one for the sleepy meds

ive had one. Wouldnt mind doing the whole cleanout process ONLY again tho. Body felt great. It was like a fresh start

You're good. Cologuard is used by a lot of healthcare providers so if it wasn't reliable they wouldn't use it when they make more money with you getting a colonoscopy.

Colonoscopies aren't risk free. There's a lot of doctors who have protested them being pushed on every man over 45 because not every man is at risk so colonoscopies expose men to bleeding, infections, and other complications.

I took the day. I don’t see why you would need to take time off after. You need to be home for the prep so time that accordingly.

You aren’t supposed to drive after the procedure but you should feel fine the next day.
