I have to get to the hospital at 6:45, so I’m just staying up and shytting liquid.

:beli:
It went fine. They found 7 polyps.

I was really out it afterwards. I was so messed up that I went home with the blood pressure cuff still on my arm. I slept for a few hours when I got home and my sister got me soup and crackers. I shouldn’t have stayed up all night.

Had mine done last year. Scheduled it for late in the afternoon and I had to fast until then. I was so weak I passed out in the pre-op area. They gave me an IV and I went through the whole bag almost instantly, felt amazing. Was a dope ass nap after the anesthesia hit too.

Procedure went well, nothing found, luckily.

Woof

I went early AM. Overall you gotta do it and the prep process is the worst part. That anesthesia sleep be hitting. I woke up and was like let me hit that there snooze button.

Yeah, the prep sucks…particularly the fluid that you have to drink 🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢

The actual process is quick and painless though. They put you out…go up in your ass…wake up an hour later and it’s all done. :ehh:

@Sonny Bonds how old are you?
41. For me, this started a couple of year ago. I would get these strange stomach, but not really stomach pains.

I went to a gastroenterologist who told me I needed more fiber and that worked for the pain. But she sent me for my first colonoscopy. After the first one, I was sent to a new surgeon for a more advanced colonoscopy. This most recent one is my fourth time getting one done in like 2 and a half years.

Edit: At some point, one of the doctors told me I have serrated polyposis syndrome. So I get more polyps and have a higher risk for cancer. If the next one goes well, then I'll only have to get colonoscopies annually.

Only annually... :mjcry:

@Sonny Bonds sorry you are having those issues. At what age do you recommend people start getting a colonoscopy? I am 39 years old.
