That being said, Almodovar really has a talent for making irredeemable characters avoid being the sole target of the viewer's vitriol. The priest did some truly repugnant shyt and yet he's just one of many awful characters once the truth comes out.

Didn't like it. The music was annoying.

So much lens flare, sheesh. Didn’t find this to be particularly jaw-dropping, even the Oscar-nominated cinematography while nice to look at wasn’t all that. Film shined with its musical numbers, everything else felt…bland? Maybe it’s the time period it was set in, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Think I’m just more of an R-rated Spielberg guy at the end of the day.
