Not bad at all, this was pretty fun. These three films are based off the R. L. Stine books, so the cheesiness is to be expected. Despite that, it’s great seeing his work with a more mature, high quality production take. There were some brutal ass kills in this. The soundtrack was actually good, it just sucks that the placement for songs were all over the place.
Part 1 of Fear Street mirrors Scream a lot. Part 2 looks like it’s headed for some Friday the 13th type fukkery.

this movie is pretty decent. takes place at the early part of the chinese revolution. focuses on european colonizers and chinese collaborators and all their perverse attitudes toward life and hierarchy. budget was really small but it does a convincing job establishing time and place and also in depicting the gore of the torture and dismemberment.
